Verizon Communications to Divest Wireline Business in 14 States
Northern New England was Divested
VZ Divested all wireline service in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont last year. They pulled out in a hurry and left the market to a crap company called Fair Point.
Wired Phone service is becomeing old skool if you ask me. I only have a wired phone so I can get DSL. I never use it and dont even know what the number is.

I'd say to get rid of dsl and get cable internet!!
