Just keep digging

As someone who has sold Nextel, Sprint, and Boost I can tell you this...this is the worst corp decision I have EVER seen. Let's give away no contract pricing lower then a contract so that everyone just leaves Sprint that had a Nextel type phone. This quick cash will take down this company in the future. Don't get me wrong I love Sprint. That's what I use but this makes no sense at all. It's going to take them under.

Sprint should be happy

Boost is actually growing their business... and its iDEN business. They paid a lot for the network - might as well grow it.

I'd say grow Boost and sell it off.

competitve advantage

he's not happy about a price war? Interesting sounds like someone might have an advantage. Who could have the upper hand (who are the other players)?
Boost needs to improve there selection of phones. $299 for the I9 is crazy. The phone does not have a full html browser. The new qwerty phone they have coming out has a small screen, vga camera, and a wap browser.
