Speaking in an interview, Boost chief Matt Carter said the company plans to add 50 more exclusive retail locations across the U.S. in order gain visibility with consumers. The company's $50 unlimited plan has brought in a surge of new customers, reportedly 674,000 during the first quarter alone. Carter told Reuters, "What's important to us is street visibility. We think it's going to help us quite a lot. You're seeing the mainstreaming of prepaid. It's not just the default option any longer." Carter indicated that he is optimistic for the company's growth prospects, but hopes a price war doesn't erupt between Boost and its competitors.

Just keep digging

As someone who has sold Nextel, Sprint, and Boost I can tell you this...this is the worst corp decision I have EVER seen. Let's give away no contract pricing lower then a contract so that everyone just leaves Sprint that had a Nextel type phone. This quick cash will take down this company in the future. I have been using the walkie-talk...

the other players are cricket and metro. They're actually the primary reasons that prepaid is so popular these days.
