Good idea

I think brand recognition is very important. A Nokia, lets say "Blazer" (i dont know lol 🤣 ) sounds more comfortable than 6103i. Thus, more people will remember the name and want to buy it.
It also would make it easier for reps to help customers distiguish between phones. I barely even use numbers any more with Nokia's. For instance with the 6103, I don't even say "have you seen the Nokia 6103?" I just say "have you seen the nokia fli...

It's funny...

At this point in the game, the 4 digit number might be a good way for Nokia to distinguish themselves. As long as they don't have a RAZR/Blade/Katana rip-off, like "The Nokia Butterfly Knife" or "Nokia Letter-Opener"!
i'm just waiting for some one to use an ironic name like the moto 'brck', or the nokia 'paperweight', the samsung 'silence' 😈

Hope they can afford a vowels

Rokr, Slvr, Pebl, Razr. Looks like Motorola can't afford to buy vowels.

Pat sells them for 50 bucks on Wheel of Fortune.

I hope Nokia can afford to put some vowels in the names.

mixed feelings...

This can be either cool or lame. Like lame when Kyocera came out with the Oystr. Or the Mercedes Kompressor - sounds like something from a cheezy video game more than like a luxury car. On the other hand, some places find it more beneficial to change to alphanumeric non word designations - Acura swapping the Integra for the RSX for instance.

I know it will be better to have this than trying to differentiate between the 6256i and the 6265i. That is a pain in my behind. 😡
Actually Kompressor means the engine is supercharged. The biggest pain with nokia's numbering system is the higher numbers don't always mean it is a higher end model.
