Much needed product category

I'm actually really sick of seeing all these sub par Android devices with keyboards on them, while premium devices run away from physical keyboards like the plague. If they made an Android phablet on par with the Note 3, and having a physical keyboard, I would absolutely have to have it.

The problem being that making one phone for one person cost a lot of money and isn't worth doing that. Maybe with project Ara.

Yea, people said the same thing when phablets hit the market, and look how those are selling. Phones with physical keyboards sold well in the past, and they still would if anyone would put one on a decent device.

I think the lack of a physical keyboard is up there with non-removable batteries and the lack of an SD card slot as hardware changes that were imposed by OEM's against the wishes of consumers. Some of us can still remember that when the first 'Droid' phone was released on Verizon in 2009 the fact that it had a slide out, physical keyboard was one of the main selling points, and when they surveyed people who bought that phone, the physical keyboard was one of the top three reasons that people gave for why they bought it.

SD cards are lame and need to be taken away. We need more internal memory. Removable batteries are so 90's and are unnecessary and also lame.

I sell phones and I hear maybe 3 people a year wanting a physical keyboard. I've heard one person complain about an overly sensitive touch screen. And never heard about someone butt dialing someone with a smartphone or accidentally opening up an app while in their pocket.
