Motorola Shareholders to Vote on Google Acquisition Nov. 17
Motorola Mobility today announced that it will hold a shareholder meeting on November 17 in order to give investors the opportunity to vote on the proposed acquisition by Google. Google announced on August 15 its intent to buy Motorola for $12.5 billion.

Lenovo today said it plans to reduce its headcount by as many as 3,200, or about 10%, as it looks to reduce expenses. The company reported earnings and said sales across its various business units dropped by 9% during the quarter.
Motorola Has to Stop Selling Phones in Germany
Motorola Mobility USA and Motorola Deutschland have been ordered to stop selling mobile phones in Germany after they were found guilty of infringing on a patent. A German court said Motorola's devices are improperly using patented antenna technology owned by LPKF Laser & Electronics AG.
