ITC Agrees to Hear Motorola's Complaints Against Apple
The U.S. International Trade Commission today announced that it will investigate patent infringement claims made by Motorola against Apple. Motorola alleges that Apple's mobile products, including the iPhone and iPod, violate seven different patents, which pertain to a wide variety of technologies such as how messages and multimedia are handled by mobile devices. Motorola is owned by Google.

The International Trade Commission today said it will investigate claims made by Aqua Connect and Strategic Technology Partners that Apple is infringing on its patents. The two California-based firms filed grievances with the ITC in October and assert Apple's Mac computers, iPhones, iPads, iPods, and Apple TVs violate their intellectual property.
