Is the Sprint LG V50 the same as the Verizon V50?
Years ago because of the difference in the bands and frequencies that Sprint and Verizon used, you couldn't fully use a some Sprint phones on Verizon and vice versa. Anyone know if the LG V50 is able to take advantage of all bands on both networks if you were to switch from one carrier to the other with the same phone?
Re: Are you kidding when you say thin?
Thanks - I'm hoping HTC starts moving forward and starts making their full PPC WM5 phones as thin as the one listed above - it is 13.5mm and it is running full WM5 - touchscreen etc. I'd also really appreciate it if they got their BT modules somewhere else - I can get a free phone with BT that has a better BT unit in it than the $500 HTC phones.
Re: Are you kidding when you say thin?
My bad - I saw so many reports on engadget about HTC phones where they refer to the beasts as thin or slim I completely screwed up when I saw the word small in this report. My apologies.
Are you kidding when you say thin?
I've yet to see an HTC PPC PDA phone that is thinner than 3/4".
When HTC starts making full PPC phones that are more like the http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=1399 77 I'll take interest.
Two things that would make this review great - the dimensions of the phone and if some tested to find out if HTC has actually improved the quality of their crappy BT units. Read through pdaphonehome - find out how many people are pissed about the BT in ...
BlueTooth 1.2 phones on Verizon?
Are there any clamshell Bluetooth 1.2 phones by LG for Verizon? I'm only looking for BT 1.2 or 2.0 I don't want a BT 1.1 phone.
Thanks
BlueTooth 1.2 phones on Verizon?
Out of the phones that Verizon carries I prefer Samsung. I'm looking for a small phone with BT 1.2. I don't want 1.1 so I'm only looking for BT 1.2 phones. Is there a chance Verizon will or does have any?
Thanks
Re: Windows 2003 - Why Bother?
I didn't know this - ouch - that is painful but I do appreciate the reply.
Why do they still use the big ol' antenna?
I find it hard to believe they couldn't modify the headphone jack to accommodate a tri-wire headset so that the big long wire going to your headset couldn't act as a good antenna for additional boost - same thing with the car adapter. I would imagine they could make the internal antenna adequate otherwise.
Windows 2003 - Why Bother?
Since 2005/magneto shouldn't be that far off, it is hard to justify buying a new ppc. I have a 2003 device that I sure as hell wouldn't have bought if I didn't HAVE to have one back in November. PPC has too many issues but then again so does Palm OS 4.x.
I'm not positive if a Palm OS6 and a Windows 2005 device were availble on a somewhat similar device which I would go for ...
PPC-6600/6601
I just got a bew PPC-6601 as my old phone was dead and I needed a replacement phone right away. The PPC-6601 is great but I am much more concerned about Sprint offering an upgrade to Windows 2005 mobile than the EV-DO (which would be great of course)
While the Windows Mobile 2003 SE OS is nice, it is sparse and has many "issues" still. I'd love to extend the life of my rather large investment by paying ...

Thanks again!
Re: Sweet Phone!!!
Thank you for the info - can you provide that link - I didn't find it.
Re: Sweet Phone!!!
I forgot to ask - does the bluetooth work on the phone side as well? I'd love to get a good bluetooh headset. I'm also looking forward to having it work through the bluetooth on my car.
Sweet Phone!!!
:D
This is such a step in the right direction!!! If they made a clamshell design that fit nicely in my pants pocket, I would love a phone like this!!!! I love the full PDA capabilities along with an excellent set of phone capabilities. Hopefully they are working on a version of this phone for Verizon and Sprint.
Love the fact they made a model with and without a camera!
Voice Dials
How many voice dials does this support. Most phones have between 20 and 30. Frankly 50 would be ideal.
