Properly backed up a hard reset should only make you lose your text messages. How old is the phone, do a warranty replacement if younger than a year. The x is a good phone. Not all phones can be perfect, but I've seen less problems out of that phone than others.

Basically you're deleting everything from the phone and returning it to 'out of the box' condition. there are two different ways of performing this action, one from the boot screen and one through the menu system of the phone itself. A quick google search should be able to tell you how to accomplish both of those methods.

Yup, been turning customers away for a couple of hours now. Corp is down and so is COOS from what i've been able to gather. Absolutely fantastic for my Customer Service and conversion rates. Absolutely love turning away activations.

IIRC your Droid X isn't very old. Also, have these problem been happening since the latest update? I've seen some goofy glitches from the latest update that a hard reset has been able to fix.

yeah...i'm not sure it would be in Sprints 'network vision' to be bought out by a bigger, more profitable company. I can see that board meeting now. a$$hole suit #1: How are we going to make Sprint better?? @$$hole suit #2: Lets get bought out by Verizon!! @$$hole suit #1: OMFG THATS A GREAT IDEA, YOU GET A RAISE. MAKE IT SO NUMBER ONE!

Wait are you going to sprint or are you going to verizon? And just how do you use 60 gb a month on a mobile device?

you can get skype to work by sideloading the skype app directly from HTC, btw. I'm not exactly sure how the thunderbolt falls behind the other HTC phones that Verizon offers, or for comparable phones on other carriers..

this is why i don't understand why people get so upset about changes like this. These changes don't affect a large amount of unlimited data smartphone users and it most likely wont affect them ever, so why get so up in arms about it?

to be honest, i don't have a clue. I have an employee that has averaged 12 GB a month since he got his thunderbolt and hasn't been throttled at all. So over 12 GB? :P

the throttling is to stop the people that are using their smartphones in a way that isn't compliant in the ways that a smartphone isn't to be used. I don't know about ATT but Verizon knows that people have rooted/jailbroken their devices and are using them in ways of violating their TOU's. The people who are in the top 2% are the people who have set up their phones to run everything through the phone using 50, ...

*facepalm* You realize that Verizon has been throttling data for months now on the top 2% of data hogs, right? You also realize that this is the news article for ATT following suit for the top 5%, right? Are you paying attention or are you just ranting to make yourself feel like you know whats going on?

Someone like him isn't PROOF that heavy data users don't bring down the quality of network because he is in the minority. If EVERYBODY used 45 GB a month there would be a problem.

You, sir, are an idiot. No carrier is better than another carrier when it comes to national access. Verizon works in more places but is more expensive, T-Mobile is cheap as dog food but usually only works in urban areas. If i lived out in the sticks i sure as hell wouldn't get T-Mobile. Also, Verizon's 4g is fast as hell. Seriously, all you have to do is look around the reviews on the internet. It ...

Jay, i've mentioned this several time under different names. Dual Core processors don't make the phone any faster, but helps the phone multi task. I've given you links, i've explained the process. I don't know what else to do. Web pages don't load up any quicker on the Droid 3 than they do on the Incredible 2.

in the middle of last year Verizon changed from Basic phones and smartphone categories to Basic phones, 3g multimedia phones and smartphones. Smartphones required the 29.99 unlimited data pak, 3g multimedia phones required the 9.99 data pak and the basic phones did not require any data pak. There were only a couple of phones catagorized as a 3g multimedia phone; most notably the LG enV Touch, enV 3, Chocolate Touch, Samsung Alias 2 and a couple of high ...

...Verizon tried to do the required data package thing for feature phones. It was widely regarded as a bad move and they no longer produce the phones that require that package.
