Worthless for me
Google should please respond to user request! the number #1 request (as you can read on the user reviews) is, add the ability to turn OFF conversation view. No. #2 request: the ability to attach files other than pictures or videos!
Is that so difficult for Google?
Please fix the few flaws
LG, well done,
Now if only you rather give us a 6 megapixel camera instead (the less pixels the better the photo if no need to enlarge), and make the battery last a bit longer, even at the expense of being a bit thicker, and upgrade to Android 4.2, that could be the new flagship of Sprint!
Low Res Screen
Why do all manufacturers think that phone with physical keyboards need to be low-to-mid range? Why only a 480x800 resolution?
Why not 4.2 ??
If already updating, go all the way, to the newer 4.2!
That's so frustrating!!!
Re: Screen resolution
This does not matter!
We don't ask for HD resolution here, but please, at least 240 x 320 pixels (QVGA) as most other low-end phones is expected these days!
It's a shame for Samsung to release such a screen!
Re: not worth it
Really nothing new to the table, and it's a shame.
A lot of folks still need a good non-smart phone, and This phone could have been filled that bill.
Please Samsung! you know how to make great phones!
Add a better camera w/ focus, camcorder, a music player, and more up-to-date tech!
Any improvement over M370?
This phone looks like an upgrade for the M370, but does not seem to have any advantage over the M370.
This phone needs to be beefed up a little bit. a 2 MP camera w/ autofocus, camcorder, more ringers, capability of wireless backup (which the M370 lacks), the outside screen, and some more.
Upgraded to Android 4.0, ICS
The released the upgrade to ICS, Andoid 4.0.
Maybe you update the specs on your specs page.

Who gives a crap about anythinh other than the S3!!!
Anyone who needs a physical keyboard.
Got it?
Re: Hit or miss?
Yeah after the Razr Maxx with the Excellent battery, anything less might be a failure. And I'd love to see one with a physical keyboard as well, like the Droid 4.
Add some great stereo speakers, and maybe offer Jelly Bean 4.1 version of Android, and it may be a winner.
480 x 800 resolution is old news
Mr. LG, 480 x 800 is long past due. In you don't know, we're even past the 540 x 960 too. It's HD now-a-days. Please catch up in order to be a bit more competitive.
Thanks for reading.
Re: this will surely be a hit.
Now if they could only release another versioin with an actual physical keyboard, that would be another great hit!
Re: Mind if I nit-pick?
Hmmmm.... the solution does not sound as great as the question!
Some recent phones have the USB charger port on the side. Are this manufacturers blind on one eye? or deaf on one ear? I mean, most phones are beautiful designed, and just a few minor cons kills the deal. Why can't they learn what the consumers really want?
Re: No Spring-assist slider
Here is a copy & paste from PhoneScoop's review:
"...The slider mechanism for the Droid 4 is not spring-assisted, which means you have to do all the work yourself. I found it hard to open by pressing my thumbs along the edges. The Droid 4 was prone to jumping out of my grasp that way. Instead, the best way is to put your thumbs on the display and push up. Not ideal, but it’d the safer way to open the ...
No Spring-assist slider
This phone looks very nice. I've been in a Verizon store and reviewed this phone in person. I am not a big fan of the curvy design, and it is too plain looking (the LG Spectrum looks much better in comparison), and it is a bit thick - which is expected for a phone with a full keyboard, hope it will help for longer battery life as well - but otherwise it looks very good.
Especially the keyboard has a ...
Good, but we need cheaper plans too
That's a good start. (although why not for 3G customers, like iPhone users?)
But I would like to see a plan of, like, 2 GB for $15/month. Which is more in my budget. An extra $30 may be too much for many people to spend. But $15 is more manageable.
How big is that screen?
4 Inch?
4.5?
4.7?
More details please.
No spring assist..????
Quote:
"...The slide mechanism is difficult to slide open (there's no spring assist) and even more difficult to close..."
Oh My GOD! That's a deal breaker for me!!! Why no spring-assist like everyone else does? It's so much easier. smoother, and easier!! Motorola, How many times do we need to repeat the same request, over and over again!! Are you deaf or what??
I was soooo hoping for that phone. I am afraid I will need to look elsewhere. Very sad and ...
Will it get Icecream Sandwitch?
I would like to know if the new Android 4.0 (aka ice-cream sandwich) will be available on this phone when it rolls out.
Re: What this phone is missing
Also no HD (not even 720p) video recording. But that's a minor issue for me. I'd rather take lower resolution but better quality and faster processing.
What this phone is missing
After looking around on the web about this phone, the following shortcomings need to be addressed in a future release:
- No indicator lamp
- Slow processor, phone freezes sometimes
- Nice screen, but still below the new 540x960 standard.
- Camera is not sharp, subpar compared to competitors.
Please add a number row!
I want to beg RIM, there is more than enough room on top of your excellent keyboard to add another row for a dedicated numeric key row, which would make texting & typing sooo much easier.!
It would become my favorite phone! And I'm sure everyone else would appreciate it!
Please consider it!! Thanks.
If only this would have a physical keyboard....
I would love HTC to release a phone for VZW with a physical keyboard!
Why less pixels???
I would want this phone for myself. It meets most of my needs, I like a screen size between 3.7-4.0", a physical keyboard, with Android 2.3. But I also need a sharp screen! Why did they reduce the sharpness, below todays standards? I would gladly pay $20-25 more for a better screen!
I don't understand it, and I am afraid that this phone may be another looser.
When will LG wake up and smell the coffee? I mean, they know already ...
Come on!
Dear HTC, come on! Is that all you can do for Verizon Wireless?
I will not complain on the Screen size, although I would rather take a 4.0" LCD (4.3" is too large IMO), but:
- No physical keyboard?
- No great camera like T-Mobile MySlide?
- No special speakers like one of your recent phones..?
Nothing Special..!
I am awaiting something with all of the above.!
Where is the keyboard version?
Well, after looking on all the Droid's, I was expecting a nice, physical keyboard, like the Droid 3.
A physical keyboard is very important to me, as no virtual keyboard comes close to actual keys.
And that's besides that PCWorld are bashing the LCD on this new Bionic, which I hoped will be superior of all Motorola's.
Now I will need to wait again. So, Motorola, what's next??
Physical keyboard?
It's a shame that no Verizon version is ready.
And I would really like to see a higher resolution display. Especially for a screen as big as the Sprint's Epic.
And speaking of the Sprint's Epic - they dropped the physical keyboard?
I would suggest Samsung to offer the same phones, with higher resolutions, and physical, 5-line keyboards. Some of us just like real keyboards too much and aren't ready to give it up.
Re: Kudos for the high-res LCD!
And actually after double checking the specs, Apple's resolution is even higher, with a 640 pixels wide, compared to just 540 in the Motorola.
Re: HD Video
Has come a long way? Sure! But is it comparable to any dedicated camcorder? Heck no! (and the same is true with cameras! Who needs an 8 megapixel camera on a phone? or even 16 megapixels in the new cameras seen at CES? Give me a 3-4 megapixel with good quality any day over todays garbage cameras (well sensors, lenses, whatever) in the phones!)
Re: But 4G is still faster!!
Hey, I don't really need my device to play HD content. But on my current VZW phone, a standard web page (like Amazon, or phonescoop) thakes to open about 25-40 seconds, at best! This is painfully s-l-o-w!!! I would take 4G mainly for that matter, so the entire browsing experiance should be faster!
I am now eligible for a new upgrade, but no way will I upgrade another phone on VZW's 3G speed. I'd rather switch to Sprint or T-mobile.
Re: Is this guy kidding?
Hey, calm down! Sounds like you hate Apple much more than he hates Android!! He has some good points, and if there is room for correction, you can explain it in a nice way!
Re: Kudos for the high-res LCD!
But while I give them credit, it's still not equal to the resolution of the iPhone - Apple pushes this resolution unto a smaler 3.5" screen, while Motorola's is a 4.3" size. But still, a good move in the right direction!
Kudos for the high-res LCD!
Thanks Motorola for being the first one to copy the iPhones high resolutions LCD! Most other manufacturers are still making the 800x480 pixels, which was nice for a 3.0" size LCD, but not anymore for 4.0" or 4.3" sizes!
But - Why still Android 2.2? Where is version 2.3?
LCD resolution lower than Droid
While the Droid's LCD is slightly larger (3.7" vs. 3.1" for the MOTOBLUR) The Droid has almost double resolution for a stunning viewing wxperience. Droid has 480x854 pixels vs. 320x480 for the Newer BLUR.
How come?
Position of upper part not OK?
(Sorry for my English) I looked at this model in store, but when opening the phone, I feel that the upper part is getting "locked" either too UP position or too DOWN (either too much or too little) - not in between which would be the most comfortable. Do anyone feel the same way?
Looks good, but not for multi-media
This looks to be a perfect phone for most people, with the better LCD resolution than 8300/8350, however still a 1.3 mp camera is a shame, and not offering a 3.5 mm headphone plug is a bigger shame. Wake up LG!
Re: How many text message can it hold
At about 130 messages, mine started to notify me it's 80% full. It also depends what kind of messages you have. If there are pics/flix attached, it may be less.
Can you sort your pics?
I have 100+ pictures on my SD card, but the Choco3 sorts them out in no specific order. Not by name, date, size, or anything else. Is there a way to sort them some way?
Re: Text T9 Option
Question: This trick only helps for messaging. In my 8300 this setting changed it also for notepad, and for reminding schedules. on the Choco3, it's not working on these 2 applications, only on messaging.
Any idea to help me? I use them a lot and it's really annoying!!
