How often is Lower Alabama ever reffered to as LA? Lol Los Angeles, silly.

Thats not true lol!! They did NO training for the first 2 months I was even on the sales floor, I had never sold cellphones before, It was usually computers or other electronic devices like Digital Cameras, GPS systems, Laptops and etc, but my personal impression of this company so far isn't that great in my opinion, they are very laggy with getting their employees the tools they need to sell, and we usually get our trainings after the device ...

And no he still didn't have a place to tell me "I didn't hear this information from our contact with corperate". He wasnt there to hear this misinformation, that was my point.

Most likely a dimwitted trainer. It's so funny that he told his managers and reps this information =P It's no wonder customers question the knowledge of the store LOL. Tell the district Manager to join Phonescoop for his info, hah.

A recent Manager Meeting for Verizon, including myself and many many others had established such information during live training, you aren't in any place to tell me I'm not getting my information from VZ Corperate, whether it is correct or not doesn't mean I'm a liar about where I get my information. I was sharing the information I was trained on, if you don't agree with it or think it's wrong, just a simple correction will do, thank you.

Actually now that you mention it, looking at the specs provided on this website, either the information on this website isn't as accurate, or my Verizon Cooperate Training was wrong. They mentioned at multiple separate times that the screen was 4.3, so I find that rather interesting.

Not necessarily, DROIDX has 4.0 while fascinate, very slightly bigger is 4.3, to physically compare them side by side in person you would barely notice a difference. They both record in HD, however only the DROIDX has an HDMI PORT.

I agree with Justmarried (congrats) I personally dont even know which I'd go for, both phones are freakin amazing in stats. Let me spare you some time: DROIDX and Fascinate are nearly identical in info. They both have 8.0 MGPX camera, HD video recording and both run on 2.2 Froyo (and if one is 2.1, its easily software-upgradeable to 2.2 when it is released as an update. DROIDX: 4.0 screen, Physical durability, HDMI PORT, internal space for multimedia/business, comes with 2.1 system but ...

"Better" is objective, it's a matter of reputation with your preferred manufacturer. Motorola in particular has a very durable physical body, which does add some weight and mass to the phone, but you can rest assured knowing if you dropped it out of your purse or pocket, it wont shatter like other phones will. Samsung Fascinate is just as fast if not faster, screen is wider (4.3) and the dynamics of touch sensitivity are pretty impressive. A downside is that ...

Regardless of each stores policies, your phone is under a year old, it comes with a one year manufacturers warranty that is good for and entire year following your purchase date. If you need to contact your Carrier CORP for more information on trying to use this warranty, you may need to do so. However I am certain that every phone comes with a one year manufacturers warranty.

Now to answer your question about the fascinate, I have sold many Fascinates and I haven't had anyone complain at all while doing followups on my customers. And seeing how blackberry and samsung are two different manufacturers, it would be pretty rare to come across the same issues after going to another manufactured phone.

Re: Pulling the battery?
Oct 3, 2010, 7:04 PM

Pulling the battery should only be necessary if the phone has the occasional issue (not a reoccurring). If this issue keeps coming back every other day, pulling the battery is actually the worst thing you want to it, all it does is annoy you by being repetitive and it will never actually fix the solution. I would inquire about it through customer care which is available 24/7 via phonecall, or going through insurance if you added it on your phone on ...

Droid for Verizon? Cal this number from another phone (not the phone you want help with) 1-800-922-0204 and after you hear the start of an automated voice, hit 0000 (four zeros) to be directed to a live agent who can walk you through just about anything, and it's free.

Do you know whether or not you got insurance with it at the time you purchased the phone? If not, since it's only been a month ago, the phone is still covered under the manufacturers warranty which should be inside the box where the phone came from. Bring that warranty to an ATT corporate store and they can switch it out for a new one and even transfer his data.

You probably did something called a "Hard Boot" where you take the Battery out and hold the power down for 30 seconds, then put the battery back in. I've had this work multiple times with customers who come in with unexplained issues on their phones. If your phone has been on for days without being shut off or charged over night, or shutting it down completely for more than 6 hours at a time can cause random internal hardware ...

In my personal opinion and based off my experience, Motorola H720 or Jabra Extreme BT540. The manufacturer Motorola of all things has an amazing reputation of long lasting battery life and physical durability. Jabra Extreme BT540 is one of the most recent and most efficient bluetooth devices out there for Jabra, which in itself is pretty reliable as well with its technological compatibility.

I hear from a few customers here in VZ that there is supposed to be a new Windows / ZUNE phone? I'm not sure which carrier it's originating from but the sound of that is random and interesting. Any opinions or statements on this matter?

Re: Question for you Impression users
Oct 2, 2010, 1:44 PM
in the Samsung Impression SGH-A877 forum

(continued from previous post, I apologize) The 'over charging of battery capacity' statement isn't limited to the Impression, this is important for all cellphones of all carriers. Like how you use more gas to turn off and on a car than to leave it running for a minute to be right back in a 7eleven somewhere.

Re: Question for you Impression users
Oct 2, 2010, 1:41 PM

If you've never had a touch screen before, the Impression is the best thing to try in my opinion. The only minor downside is that occasionally I have to restart my phone so it can send texts. It doesn't freeze up on me or anything but sometimes (maybe every few days) it will fluke up and not send texts so restarting it kinda refreshes it. To avoid this issue you can shut down your phone while it charges over night, ...

There should be a way, but I believe it requires a monthly pay just like AT&T Navigator. I tried to look up Pandora for it but I guess it doesn't work. What I do is put music on my phone via USB/Bluetooth on my 8G SD card and I have it play that instead.

Re: Text Messaging Problem? Please help
Oct 2, 2010, 1:29 PM
in the Samsung Impression SGH-A877 forum

I'm in the same boat, I've had this phone for roughly about 6-7 months now and it started doing this about the 4th month in. For days it will be fine, but then occasionally (every other day) it "fails" to send, I end up having to reboot it, which sucks cuz it takes the messaging app 3 minutes to initialize and it's quite annoying having to wait. This was my first touch screen phone and I literally love every thing ...

The thing about my VZW location and my customers is that they expect you to give them anything they want for free because they have verizon at all. I'm a very logical, friendly and technologically knowledgeable Rep, I even provide extra customer service even if my store manager doesn't approve (which most of the time he doesn't), I'll input contacts manually myself if our transfer machine doesn't recognize the cord or the phone (for the patient and friendly customers ...

Blackberry all the way. The new iPhone4 had a rough start on winning it's already loyal customers, apple customers who had been with the service for years even left for verizon or Tmobile because of the service ATT provided. iPhone4 had a nationwide recall of it's new product shortly after the release date, this caused alot of problems with customer loyalty, and with the sad attempt to bring them back they thought givng away a free skin for a ...

You could probably use yahoo, but I would personally reccommend GMAIL from google. Seeing how she will be running on a google phone, with a gmail account she will be able to back up any information on her phone directly to her gmail account, so when it ever comes a time she loses her phone or wants to get a new one, all of her valuable information will be backed up and ready to be re-input onto the next ...

All of you are correct, NE2, Equip Upgrades and New Activations all give you major discounts for in-store purchased phones opposed to going to Best Buy to pay full retail price on a phone without its contract, as long as you are signing a two/one year contract, Verizon gets their two year customer and you get your 600 dollar phone for only 4th the price. Having worked here for a few months now, I can say that there are ...

For customers who have been with us for years, specially customers who pay their bills on time everytime, are occasionally given a percentage discounted from their monthly billing, sometimes it's 8% feature access, 20% off on next billpayment or free 500 text messages added ontop of the months text minute restoration. Typically these discounts can't apply to physical purchases of phones, regardless of them being upgrades or activations, but if you go to the right place for your activation, ...

Bluetooth is a wireless earpeice device that can be used to answer, endure and hangup phonecalls, bluetooths are the only device allowed to be used on a cellphone while driving in a car, seeing how driving with a cellphone in hand is illegal and will get you a big fat ticket. Bluetooths range in price from 30-150$, the best manufacturers in my opinion are Jabra and Motorola.

Re: Fascinate issue
Sep 30, 2010, 1:46 PM
in the Verizon Wireless forum

I've been selling the Fascinate for a little while now, and I haven't had anyone come back with any issues about the phone. I suggest trading it with a newer one at the same location you purchased your fascinate, I doubt it will come back to haunt you again. And if it does, it may be something to do with the messaging feature in your account, there might be a simple technical error.

Does it do this to all calls or just a select few that annoy you occasionally? Any caller ID issue can be resolved via customer care: 1-800-922-0204 (after automated voice begins, hit ZERO four times to be directed to a live rep right away) Just ask them to adjust it for you to read incoming caller numbers. In most cases, it's the callers problem, not the reciever. -Brit of 4G
