Re: US Cellular Employees Take Large Paycut!!!!!!!!!!

The company has done nothing if not making retention harder for us to do. We already don't get any payout when selling phones to already migrated customers but now when someone stays with their plan after spending 20 mins explaining the belief project to them we don't get paid either. The point is our job is to make US Cellular money but US Cellular hasn't given us much to sell. Subpar phones and More expensive plans ...

i've been on the uscellular band wagon for a long time but even i can't justify that much of a pay cut. erik maybe its time to stop drinking the kool aid and realize that even us cellular can make mistakes. basing anyhting off of what at&t has done should be your first sign something is wrong.

Re: Why the assertion you should only comment in a USCC forum if you are a current customer/employee

they lost 25000 but the net loss of revenue was only $400,000 dollars... when you're talking about a quarter that netted almost 1 billion dollars thats chump change. the rise in data sales and believe migrations will more then cover that loss going forward. provided the belief plans can start swaying more new adds over time. compare that to any other companies numbers. but compare everything look at their operating budgets and total income. you'll see that verizon ...

i'm assuming this post is directed towards my earlier post. at which i never stated in it that people shouldn't be allowed to post but rather wondered why waste their time being so negative about something that doesn't effect them. i do find it funny that there seems to be a certain group of people on here that go from forum to forum being nothing but cynical and sarcastic rather then being helpful and productive. and you say ...

Sprint has become super competitive in the past couple of years the only problem is they've wasted so much money on their Wimax network (which they are now abandoning) and haven't bothered to build up their voice network. At least in my neck of the woods their phones always drop calls unless you are driving down the freeway.

Oh and I would like to say that USCC reps please please please stop coming on these forums and just spewing what your managers tell you. Its fine to believe in what you do but when you preach corporate jargon it only hurts your company.

Thanks for your comment mobilemadness, I don't know if most of them are actual US Cellular customers. There are a lot of people who argue just to argue, especially in the forum world. To say US Cellular is being a secular religion because they coined the belief project i feel is a bit of a leap. belief is defined as the mental state or act of placing trust in another. to most christians or any religious person ...

If you're not a customer then why worry about it?
Oct 31, 2010, 12:08 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

I've been noticing a lot of people being very negative on here lately about USCC and their new marketing strategy. The thing that really gets me is that for the most part it appears as though the people most opposed to it aren't even USCC customers. If it doesn't effect you or if the companies so small and destined to fail why even waste your time posting about it? I've seen threads where the Belief project has been ...

You're right the Carlsons should develop some kind of customer profiling software so people who don't pay their bills can be found and exterminated... Or maybe they should take out billions of dollars in debt developing a new data service that we'll wind up scrapping anyways.

Dear Idiot, The only thing you have accomplished here is to prove to everyone that you are nothing more then a loud mouth blow hard. You are right that online forums are a place for anyone to voice an opinion. However you based an opinion and voiced it without any evidence to support your rant. Your "truthful" comments are simply ignorant rubbish. I will not post to this anymore because it is a waste of time to read your posts. Sincerely, Tastesfunny

The original message here was that a person could not afford their account at one time and unfortunately it went to collections. The reason they could not afford their account was not disclosed. Truth sir is based on fact, of which you have none. You are simply stating your opinion on the matter and a pessismistic one at that. I sir am not currently a U.S. Cellular employee. I left on my own accord when I ...

Dear 8091nafsbuc, You sir are an idiot. What is the difference if someone had a cancelled account with U.S. Cell and want to come back or if they had a canceled account with sprint and switched to U.S. Cell. That's why they have deposits, its an insurance policy against people who aren't able to pay their bill. You say that companies will not be able to with stand having customers who go delinquent on their accounts, but they ...

you can most definetly make changes to existing products. you'll just get sued under patent law. case in point nokia being retarded and basing their chipset off of qualcom rather then just making a new one.

theres a difference in improving something and out right piracy. Nokia didn't just improve it they almost completely reversed it and then made changes to it. which under patent law you can't do. bost about them all you want but they weren't out to make something better because then they would have went to quallcom with it. they were just out to get a leg up on every other phone.

Once all the carriers switch from cdma and gsm to LTE in late 2011 to 2012 you will see nokia return to norht america they won't be able to continue relying on just their gsm when 70 million potential customers can't purchase their equipment.

chansonion said: Most people don't understand that the reason that Nokia's OLD CDMA phones (6019, 6235, 6255, 6265 and older) got great reception was because they had reversed engineered Qualcomm's chipset and done their own optimization... illegally, if i understand correctly (see the web for the results of the suit against Nokia). The newer models that failed testing were built by a Nokia SUBSIDIARY that had a valid license (not by Nokia) and used standard Qualcomm chips. They got horrible ...

The reason nokia does not make cdna phones anymore is because they were sued by quallcom for using their chipset without permision. You are correct that we have tested nokia's since but the nokia's tested were outsourced through Pantech and failed testing horribly. It is true that we have been trying to get nokia back for years however the size of our company is not why we have not carried the pantech models, they just didn't pass ...

The crush is a great phone if you are looking to just text and dial. If you would like to use Facebook or even just browse the internet one of the premium phones would be much better suited for it.

We never released anything stating that we were launching droid 1st quarter. Infact we didn't have any trainings for it until february. The target launch will be sometime this summer. Joke around about our extensive testing but it is true we have many different testing programs we try to impliment before launching a device.

Why are people so involved with their cell phones?

I have seen so many posts lately that start such heated conversations about which carrier is best and why. Is it plausable that certain carriers work well in different areas? And that some carriers may offer cool phones while others focus on having better networks? And why is it everytime someone asks a question some moron that thinks he's a tech genius has to pipe up with why they are stupid? Its a phone people its intended purpose is ...

You can talk all you would like but at least our company had the sense to recall the phones for the customer. The Blackberry storm has had numerous issues that verizon has never even had patches for. They just figured they would sell enough phones to get by till the storm 2 came out...which has the same touch issues. Save your bitterness for a topic that really matters. its a phone people.
