heck yeah, even for an experienced shooter. Long guns are way easier to aim, and more importantly, follow up shots are even easier. I get asked all the time "I don't have any guns, but I want one for home defense, what should I get... then they list a handful of hand guns and calibers" Always reply the same every time "12ga pump with a short barrel and buck shot or a self defense specific load". Usually get the ...

if he just wants someting for camp fire protection from critters, he wants a rifle or a 12 gauge with a mix of buck shot and slugs. Handguns are woefully under powered to handle most animals you would want to protect yourself from (heck, they strugle with humans, short of hitting a vital). Bare minimum for a back woods handgun is a full power 10mm...

There are a lot of great Glocky options these days... went with the M&P because it fit my hands the best and natural point of aim with it was the best. Almost got a Walther P99c... but for an extra $100 and not being able to find much information regarding whether it was reliable or not (I assume so, but with compacts I don't like to assume it will feed ball and especially self defense reliable).

Massive gun fight, again, after which people in the area were cheering the streets. Sources are saying they got the second bomber, no official release yet since it just happened in the last 10 minutes.

Sept 11 2012 was when one got his citizenship. The family fled Chechnia (horrible spelling) because of the violence and political situation there, and came to the USA on a refugee visa, give or take. The little I have seen about them, their past teachers, friends, etc. can't believe they did this. Most finger point to the older brother being the ring leader. The family, in general, is pretty much like WTF guys, thanks a lot for disgracing our ...

then they moved to Kazakstan, then the US... at least one of them had gotten citizenship, and I think both maybe? Their Uncle is awesome! He was asked why they did it, his reply "Because they are losers"...

one bomber is dead, the other is being hunted down right now. Overnight they robbed a convience store, hijacked a car, broke into MIT, killed an MIT officer, threw bombs at people, got in a shoot out with cops, one brother was killed in that (had a bomb strapped to his chest)... the other one slipped away. They have a chunk of Boston on total lockdown, and they are going door to door, street by street, trying to find the on ...

Same here, that is what I am betting. Technically they can just split it all up and who cares, nobody would come arrest them. But if one sibling, or their spouse, gets mad about how it goes, then huge issues would arise. Or, lets say a cousin is listed in the will to get some family heirloom, and finds out... more big trouble/at least going to be spending a lot more time in civil court than filing two ...

no way to avoid legal probate courts in this case. At the least the will needs to be legally invalidated, and from there a probate judge needs to sign off on a new distribution plan, either as simple as the kids will evenly distribute themselves, or as complicated as each kid gets X,Y,Z.... Assuming they get along, it should be pretty simple, file to have the standing will nullified, then file to have a distribution agreement certified by a ...

Are they simply trying to avoid filing legal paperwork or something? Probate, by definition, can't be avoided, given it is the term for spliting up an estate to people other than a surviving spouse/partner.

Unless there is a surviving spouse or a joint tenancy (ie, common law marriage/same sex partner in some states)... then there has to be a probate, whether it is the execution of a will, the execution of a trust, ect is all part of the probate process. More information on the situation would be needed to give any sort of real advice.

then felt ashamed later on about it, so came up with a story. Or, the nurse messed up, and then they decided they liked the messed up spelling and stuck their kid with it. Either way, you don't get stuck with a mis-spelling simply because a mistake was made, the parents would have to still go along with it.

Yeah, but the news is usually more concerned with putting up a number or story than getting it right, especially in the fast paced instant news cycle.

I have an XDm compact 9mm, my wife carries an XDs .45... I have several friends with the plain jain XD and XDm's, they all love them, reliable, etc. I can't speak highly enough of their lineup as being very well done and any model being a good buy. That said, it is always best to check out the options from everyone else and find the one that fits best and feels the best. With interchangable back straps to make ...
