Good thing the DOJ stopped that AT&T merger from happening!
Good thing the DOJ stopped that AT&T merger from happening. Think of all the jobs that would have been lost... oh wait...
End of an era...
Remember my first camera phone was from Sprint. Back then... the whole service regarding pictures was called "Picture Mail." Sprint did not even have standard MMS. Anytime you received a picture, you received a text message with a link to a WAP site hosting your pic.
Later on... when Sprint phones had "Picturemail" clients installed on phones that would automatically download the picture to your phone. and notify you. The client would display the pic... no WAP site needed. It ...
Re: This site loads slow as molasses now...
Yes... I should retitle the thread...
Phone Scoop loads quickly... Everything on screen that is supposed to be there loads instantly. Same with FB, twitter, engadget... but Phone scoop is the only one that will not let me scroll or navigate for 5-10 seconds.
Re: This site loads slow as molasses now...
It's kinda weird though. The site fully loads quickly. Its just it frozen... can't scroll for about 5-10 seconds. Phonescoop is the only site doing it.
This site loads slow as molasses now...
Noticeable lag... cannot scroll the site for 10 seconds or so when loading the homepage. No problems loading any other sites.
Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2
Same thing using Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
I hope this goes through....
I am an AT&T customer... I WANT them to get T-Mo's spectrum so they can build a fantastic 4G network.

Nobody see an issue about giving your child an Android phone to begin with???
What's the problem? Now a days lower end Android phones are the "free phone"... or sometimes last year's model becomes free when a new flagship phone is about to arrive.
Um.... San Juan... but not Phoenix?
LOL @ Android.
Yay! A phone is getting last year's version of the OS when the new version of the OS is hitting next week for other phones.
Thank you Apple for always keeping my iPhone up to date. :)

I've had a lot of people asking about when the new BlackBerrys are coming out. There's a lot more "everybody" out there besides Android fanboys. Or iPhone fanboys. Or any fanboys.
I know! There are plenty of people that want an inferior mobile web browsing experience or a meager app selection.
Who wants to bet that ...
This phone doesn't sell 10% what the iPhone 4S sells?
Re: Apple had plenty of time.
That would be bad for Apple. There are already a plethora of accessories that use the 30 pin connector. Not micro USB. All of those accessories would become useless... and it would give competitors a chance at cross compatibility with said accessories. Plus all of those existing 30 pin using accessories go to landfills.
Re: Apple had plenty of time.
Actually the law allows for adapters to be used...
Re: No surprise at all.

Apple cares more about putting out a slim Iphone than a functional one that is up to date in late 2011.
I have the Samsung Droid Charge, it has LTE, AND it's slim.
I didn't know that HSPA+ phones were non functional.
Oh..., enjoy your 4 hour battery life on LTE.
IM is soooo 90's
Really though. If you have to sign up for something or register... the user base will be low. iMessage will be more successful because it it integrates into the messaging app and uses your phone number. No sign up required.
Custom (iTunes) tones for Text messages!
A welcome addition.... even though phones from 10 years ago did this.
There is no way they would ever match what Ebay gets you.
I get nearly retail for my phone every time I sell them ( I keep them in pristine condition).
Re: Would have thought dual core
That is a what the Galaxy S II is for... 8)
Why bother? AT&T will eliminate it next year...
8O
Or... you can just pay a $20 1 time fee and tether unlimited...
Jailbreak... then in Cydia, search MyWi.
Complainers... THIS IS GOOD!
It's The same $20 messaging plan ($30 for families) but you can call any cell phone now. I am thinking about lowing my minute plan now!
Or we can jailbreak and use MyWi
...for a 1 time fee of $20.
I hope Google puts out Navigation for iPhone soon.
LOL... what will Garmin, Navigon and Tom Tom do when Google puts out a FREE app that rivals their app?
Re: Holy Canoli!
Take your "Theoretical Maximums" and divide by 10 for real world speeds. Kthxbye.
Re: Viva Variety
They use Verizon's Network. It is an excellent prepaid service. I like having my 8 year old daughter's LG Migo activated for emergencies. $10/100 mins... every 4 months to keep it on.
Damn... Grandpa's gettin ripped off.
Just get one of these and flash it to Cricket.
Why does Google bother?
Really... am I going to use this instead of the built in Mail app on my iPhone?
Is this a sick joke?
Really Palm? HP? Is this all you got? Basically rehash the original Pre with minimal changes... update the OS and call it a day?
In a world with iPhone 4's having retina displays, Droids and EVOs having 4.3 in screens. Phones with 4G. 8MP cameras and 720p video capture. People complaining about the Pre 1's cramped keyboard... This is a freaking JOKE... right?
RIP Palm. Even HP couldn't save you!
Re: 1.5Ghz ? Tri core,WOW . im happy with the 1ghz snap already
::Looks at iPhone 4's 30+ hour battery life::
No problems here. Maybe other companies SHOULD consider Apple's high quality non user changeable battery strategy.

T-Mo rules!
lol,
but seriously, this Tab combined with HSDPA+ is going to be a lightning fast internet machine!
"The T-Mobile variant will have HSPA, but not HSPA+."
What's the point? You already offer free push via Exchange...
Why waste time adding these redundant features when you could be:
Releasing Google Goggles for iPhone
Releasing Latitude for iPhone (with iOS4 support)
Releasing Google Navigation for iPhone
NOT just developers buying it. It's only $15 to register as a developer...
People who still want the N1 are willing to pay this dev fee just to buy N1. Google pulled the plug too early on N1.
AT&T... You're up!
I'd like a cheaper iPhone bill. Thanks.
I live in PHOENIX!
Even more "bada$$!!!! "
Re: Uh... whats with the new bold font on the website?

It is bothering my eyes.

Q. Do I need to subscribe to an AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling feature?
A. No. While highly recommended for maximum benefit, a subscription to AT&T Unlimited MicroCell Calling is not required. Your normal wireless from AT&T minute plan rates will apply.
$20 is only for unlimited while @ home.
No sideloading = no buy!
If I am stuck with marketplace apps, I'll just stick with iPhone.
Should change the name of this story to:
"Google opens the floodgates for thousands of crappy apps on Android!"
Does AT&T have Visual Voicemail on Android?
Sprint and T-Mobile do. Dunno about Verizon...
AT&T has VV for iPhone. Does AT&T Android get any VV love?
