Ppl want too much from their phones

Jan 26, 2007 by MeloveCellPhones

I don't own a Sidekick 3 yet, BUT I will be purchasing one in about a week. I currently have the Megenta Razr which I absolutely hate. Anyway, I think ppl expect way too much from a cell phone. Yeah, I do agree that its nice to have camera, video, mp3 and all that BUT its just a phone. If you want great quality pix then buy a digital camera. If you want to listen to your mp3 for hours on end then buy an mp3 player. I think the Sidekick is fabulous for ppl like me that love to text and email. Its not a device that I recommend for business. Blackberrys and Treos are better for business. I think the only thing that may irritate me a little would probably be the low res screen but that is something that I can deal with.

I love this phone

Jan 24, 2007 by LA Heather

I think this phone is awesome. Had an SK2 and it worked ok, of course it wasn't the best but it made keeping my schedules and dates easy to remember, on top of having downloads that helped make your every day life easier.
Then this came out, and I HAD to have it. It had all the great features I loved about the SK2 only much better, more efficient and the look of it has totally improved.

Pros:
Sleeker look
Much faster
I have NO problems with reception or dropped calls
Memory card comes with, but cards with more memory available
Removable battery
Better camera (not the best, but better than the SK2)
MP3 player which is CONVENIENT and I LOVE it
Better internet
Better applications/updated applications
Have no problems with any sounds, speakerphone or ringtones

Cons:
Battery dies quickly if you use it a lot and don't have a car charger when you're gone all day
Camera could be better, but does beat previous
Cannot send or receive picture messages
Ringtone prices went up a bit

BEST PHONE EVER!!!

Jan 18, 2007 by mr_me_1616

This is the best phone that i have ever had. i ordered this phone b 4 i read any reviews and was scared that i was ordering a pos. but that isnt the case at all. like 99 % of the things that i had read in the review was not true at all. like for example the sound loudness in the headset is realy loud unlike claimed from any other users. I maby got a newer version of the phone. the other thing is people are complaining it doesnt have calculator, u can download it from the catalog applicatio for FREE! and its not a computer so u dont need a high resulution screen. its a great phone!

Pros:
Loud speaker
Loud speaker phone
internet is prety fast
loud ringtones
strong vibrating
easy to use
email feature is realy nice!

Cons:
Not able to recieve picture messages
reception is realy touchy (dont know if its the phone or service)

This is a great phone and would recomend it to any one its nice having all the attention havening the newest technlogy but i guess that will only be for a few more hours lol

The Sidekick is the ultimate device for people my age group (I'm 16, but I would say anyone could use it). The only things that would make it perfect would be to add a zoom to the camera, add video recording, and they should really go to Sony Ericsson for some tips on the camera quality, cause these 1.3's aren't looking to sharp. Putting the Mini SD card slot somewhere on the outside for quicker access, fixing the Bluetooth glitches (like turning off when you turn the phone off) & allow it to connect & send/recieve files with Bluetooth enabled computers & other cellphones. There are still a few more things that could be improved, but thus far it's a really great device. The scroll ball is a nice addition, and navigation thru this phone has always been a breeze. Adding a high resolution screen would make it even more enjoyable. It's nice to be able to text message, be on MSN, and check my E-mail & MySpace all on the go, and all on the same device. Plus last time I checked my laptop can't make calls or recieve text messages. Making the Sidekick one of the ultimate devices for teens, and pretty much anyone on the go who don't always have there laptop on them, or who don't always have time to sit in front of a computer. I'm enjoying this phone to the max and I hope the Sidekick 4 addresses all concerns, comments, and things I wrote for it.

I recently purchased the sidekick 3 and I think it was worth the 300 bucks.
I still can seem to put it down yet

Pros
-keyboard
-mp3 player
-removable memory card
-bluetooth
-new sleek look

Cons
-ringtones and stuff are way alot on my old phone it was a .99 and now its 2.99

I was always a sidekick fan because of what it could do but i never bought it because of the way that it looks but now I think its one of the cutest phones out there.

Sidekick 3 needs alot of work

This phone is great for texting, and has decent signal, but before I get into full details, let me list some pros and cons first.

Pros.

Innovative Design! Keyboard is excellent
Ringtones are nice!
Menu system is great and very easy to navigate!
Phone feels solid, nice rubber grip on back!

Cons.

Phone has a very short battery life
Low res screen. Not worth paying for.
Horrible Camera! Worse than VGA
Speaker could be louder
Backlit keys aren't bright enough
No custom rings
Limited Ringtones

All in all this phone is mediocre at best as a phone. I've had them all. Treo, HTC, Nokia N80, Motorola Q, and that's just to start listing them, and the Sidekick is a huge disappointment. I had hoped Danger would have lived up to all the hype, but I will be selling mine shortly and taking my losses. If you want it for texting fine, but the low res screen and the crappy camera really take away from this phone! Also the battery life was very disappointing for all you hardcore users. Think charging it about 2 - 3 times a day! Swivel feels a little flimsy, but the phone feels solid when closed. Camer as I said is probably one of the worst on the market. Think Treo 600's camera. Yeah that bad! If you must have this phone I recommend getting the silicone skin and some screen protectors to have, they'll help tremendously. Other than that, I hope that Danger's sidekick 4 is alot better. I don't think I'll ever chance them again. This is the only time I've ever been disappointed with a phone!

Best Phone Ever.

This phone is great i absolutely love it!

PROS:
Internet slow but hey its not a computer.
Keyboard is great.
the trackball is great.
Backgrounds. cute but not my style.
Instant messaging and texting couldn't ask for anything better.

CONS:
Camera. wow its pretty bad.
Annoying noises. yeah they get annoying.
Ringtones can they get any worse?
Games are bad but who wants to play games when you have a cell phone that can go on the Internet MYSPACE

overall this phone is one of the best I've had.

T-Mobile Sidekick 3 experince

Dec 27, 2006 by raddjrxcore

I was a Sidekick II user for 2 years. I upgraded to the 3 on 06/28/06, and sent it back a total of 3 times. Reception, call quality, and battery problems plagued the device that made it barely useable.

I went back to my II, until it was stolen. Asurion could only give me a 3.

I have no idea what they did to it in those six months, but wow. This new Sidekick 3 runs perfectly. The old 3s used to have horrible reception, call quality, battery, and software reboothing glitches. This new one has none of those problems.

This new Sidekick 3 has the best reception I have seen on a T-Mobile phone, no lie. Although the volume could be louder, the call quality is fine, & it is definitely not silent. The battery is still on 3 bars out of 5 at the end of the day, which isn't bad for a phone always connected to the internet.

People put the SK down for its lack of features, but you have to look at what it does do rather than what it doesn't. For a pretty fast data device that is always connected to the internet and three messaging services, that also handles phone calls decently, and even sports a camera and mp3 playback - the SK is a hip solution for a mobile phone.

love it
