The type of phone most people can enjoy

Aug 8, 2007 by Alltel80624

LG has really hit it out of the ball park with this phone. Bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera, a cool my menu button, and very good signal strength make this phone something I can honestly sell to my customers. This phone is very easy to use. Anyone that has owned a AX3200 to a VX8300 can step right into this one. The phone doesn't have a MP3 player or any of the extras, but if you are looking for a phone that won't let you down performing as a phone this is exactly what you need.

Great Phone

This phone is one of the best phones I have ever had. It gets signal virtually everywhere, picture quality is great, Easy to Use Menu, you can create your own menu too! I love that it has everything except for an MP3 player.
PRO
great battery life (mine lasts a week w/out charging it)
good camera/video
good reception
pics on both lcds
my menu
bluetooth
T2T
default rings (GREAT selection)
Con:
-after 30 messages in my text inbox it would beep that i needed to empty it out. (kind of inconvenient when I do that many messages a day)
-No memory card slot. Although you can just send them to your email, I prefer using a memory card for better printing quality.

I work in the cell phone business and I recommend these to my customers because it is a great phone!

It's OK

I'm using this phone with US Cellular in the Chicago area. USCC does not offer PTT on this phone. (Other reviews seem to allude to this capability.)

Pros:
* Camera is decent
* Voice dialing function works pretty well, although the option for Motorola style-name dial would have been a nice addition.
* Sounds good and pairs well with uncommon Bluetooth headsets.

Cons:
* Signal quality is not the best in my area; I get much better reception from my T-Mobile phone which has an internal antenna.
* It's a little big and clunky compared to my Samsung Z-510--I haven't had a plastic phone in years.
* The battery life does seem quite short. I side with one of the other reviewers on this point. I'm thinking about getting an extended battery for this phone, since I use a Bluetooth headset with it quite often.

Not a bad phone, not the best I've had. Better than RAZR, though. LG needs to find some better designers. (But I'm picky--I buy all my GSM phones unlocked and mostly not from T-Mobile...and my old Japanese prepaid phone has more features than either of these phones!)
