SMALLER NOT ALWAYS BETTER

Nov 11, 2006 by VintaqeRomance

Like everyone else the main attraction to this phone was the size -- every time I whipped out my phone people would laugh and exclaim at how "cute" it is. Unique, yes. Attractive, yes. Functional, yes. Practical, no.

For the price tag ($110 when it first hit the stores), I'd say it's pretty reasonable. It's a great phone but it's not something you'd keep for a long time -- it's more like a new toy you have to have 'cause it's the hot new thing but than get tired of it after a few months.

Pros:

+ Great battery life (with moderate usage I had to charge every 2-3days)
+ Sturdy
+ VERY bright flashlight!
+ Flashlight
+ Great graphics
+ Easy UI
+ Loud ringers (Mp3/music tones) surprisingly, for such a small phone
+ Loud speakerphone
+ Asthetics everyone goes "wow" when they first see it!
+ Incredidly lightweight

Some cons:

- Too small, I'd hit the wrong buttons
- No bluetooth
- No Mp3 player
- Camera not very good resolution
- Minimal customization

Fantastic Phone!

If I really wanted to come up with a way to improve this phone I could dig deep, but then that would probably raise the price.

A lot of phone for the money

Jul 14, 2006 by frankv64

This little phone is awesome.
The reception is great in central nj,the ringer is loud, both screens are bright and clear and the menus are simple.
The only downside would be the size of the phone. If you have big hands it might be a little hard to use,and the ringers that come with the phone are not that good.
That is the only minor setback if you want to call it that.
I have no problem with it at all.
You can slip this phone in your pocket and forget its there.
I would definitely recommend this little phone to anyone.
Bottom line, you will get alot of features for the money.

You Can't Add Words to the T9 Dictionary !

Sep 17, 2006 by berger1

Great Reception Quick UI

BUT BUT BUT BUT

this phone doesn't allow you to add new words to its dictionary as you can in a nokia or motorola, even sony ericsson. are all pantech's this way ? it's crucial for me to be able to put words in the dictionary as I use many words that aren't in the dictionary on my phone. the speakerphone barely passes for a regular in-call speaker, and there's way too much treble coming from the ringer speaker. I am thinking of returning.

I'm keeping it!

I bought this mainly out of curiosity, but I love the small size and weight so much, I'm keeping it and selling my Nokia 6682 (which was overkill for me, but had a great camera!). What good is a smartphone if it's so heavy you never take it anywhere with you?

pros:
super lightweight, can string a clip on it and clip it anywhere on your body and not feel it
good sound quality for ringtones and keypresses
very strong vibrate mode
reasonable camera for vga (see cons)
flashlight!
sufficient onboard memory
key features arranged for easy access, like switching to vibrate, accessing the calendar, the flashlight, camera, camera in closed mode, messaging, contacts - very good user-friendly layout (which makes the inability to do much modification less of a problem, see cons)

cons:
vga camera - yuch!!
no snooze on calendar alarm
speakerphone not available until after call connects, and then takes 2 keypresses
very little user modification permitted (but see pros)
no missed call audio alert

Adorable, but........

I initially went in to buy the Razor, but after seeing this cute little thing I could not resist. However, the speaker is lousy. If using the speakerphone while driving, you have to pray that no horn is blowing,no truck or bus passes you or that you have no need for windshield wipers, because if any of these things are going on then you will not be able to hear the person speaking at all. Which is a really bad thing due to this phone not having bluetooth. You can however, feel free to use the old earphones - but who wants to?! The other problem with the phone is "this phones" inability to note the time that an outgoing text was sent. Time is noted when you receive a text however. I thought that this was just Cingular's flaw in text messaging but on the Razor the time for outgoing is noted in options. I also do not like the way Cingular does not allow you to change the playback order of the voice messages. When tou save a lot of voice mails it would be nice to hear the last one first. Just for FYI, Nextel does allow you to do that.

screen going blank

Aug 28, 2006 by roadkingrider2003

can someone please help me,i just bought my pantech pg-c300 phone today,i have a problem with the screen going blank right after i make a call, but the phone can set open right in front of me and not be in use and the screen not go blank screen,i changed the backlight to 10 minutes,so i guess that is why the screen does not go blank when the phone is not in use,is there anyway to stop the screen from going blank when i'm connected to someone?

Looks aren't everything!

This phone has a great shape and fun size, I got lots of comments on it when I bought it, but the trouble started when I started using it. I had 2 dropped calls out of 6 the first day I used it. I would not recommend this phone for anyone that uses their phone to talk.

Pros: Great form/size, chic sliver color, attention getter/one of a kind.

Cons: Limited features, horrible(and I do mean horrible) call quality, very poor picture quality, buttons feel a bit flimsy, cost vs. value.
