a fair assessment

Aug 25, 2010 by alison says

i loved this phone when i used it. the only complaint i had was the fact that there is no speakerphone. it may say it does, but the option was never to be found... so thats bs. decent camera, easy to use since i have slender fingers, and it was fun to show off to everyone as, "the smallest cameraphone in the world" or whatev. it was a fun thing to impress people with.

This Was The Best Phone

Jul 1, 2009 by SweetCheeks6883

I REALLY liked this phone.
It was different...small, sleek and tiny.
I was the only one I knew that had it.
It was cool though.

Pros:
-Crisp display
-Small enough to fit anywhere
-Bright flashlight very useful
-Different

Cons:
-Maybe it's just a little too small
-Buttons, screen...everything is small

People have called me Zoolander for 2 years

May 22, 2009 by many_boomers

I got this as part of a contract. After misplacing two, I kept begging my friends for their old phones so I could put my SIM in them and keep track of my phone and so I didn't look like Will Farrel in a non ironic way.
The diminuitive size makes it incredibly easy to lose and that's exactly what I did with my first two. They will not stay in a hip pocket. If you are a girl you could keep it in your purse, but if you are a guy you either need to put it in a cargo pocket or tape it to yourself.
I'm a geek (I at one time had Linux running on a palm pilot) and lack of any kind of bells or whistles bored me to no end.

BUT

Even though I'm pretty sure these are out of production, they will be around a while. Seriously. At one point I hated this little B*****d so much I started using it to open bottled beer. That was about 5 months ago. These little buggers are indestructible. The light has been a life saver on a couple of occasions as well.

Cons:
So Small it's a serious choking hazard.
People have called me zoolander for 2 years!
Tiny keys+huge man hands=frustration
No Music.
No bluetooth.
Way to much background noise when there is any sort of ambient nose.
Easier to lose than teeth in a barfight.
BARELY ANY MEMORY
Text boxes are tiny.

Pros:
Utterly Bomb Proof.
Bright Clear display
Super Bright flashlight!
Great bottle opener
All Speakers are loud (but hollow sounding)
Great battery Life

Good phone...for calls only though

Oct 16, 2008 by Weeks1359

I have previously owned a Pantech PG-C300 and I must say that this phone is a good phone...for making phone calls. Something cute and small to get your children for a starter phone but that's it. The screen is very tiny, although it is very bright in color. Texting is no good on this phone. The camera is a good camera and takes great pictures. Good phone but wouldn't recommend it if you are a big texter or like to take a lot of pics.

Good things in small packages

I give this phone such a high rating because if you are not searching for a phone with all the options this phone will serve you well with what it has. Prior to this phone, I was going through about two a year! My pantech has lasted me two years now! I even put it through the wash and it worked within that same week.

Yes, it is small, but all of its functions worked great. The camera took very bright, clear pictures, but there wasn't any zoom. Despite the size, the calls were clear and the speaker was very loud as well as the ring-tones. Texting was just as easy as any other cell-phone. And it's crowd pleasing look really got attention. My battery lasted longer than any other phone I ever had. I would be scared if I forgot my charger on a trip.

This phone was very reliable and faithful to me over the years, and I was pleased with pantech.

Unfortunately, in the past two weeks, my phone went from perfect, to suddenly destroyed... out of no where.

The middle section of keys don't work (4,5,6) so I cannot call any new numbers or even text. And then the "okay" button stopped working and I could send or open a text. And the top side button (that controls the volume and the camera) stopped working as well. This disabled me from taking any new pictures, and the volume broke at the lowest level and I could no longer hear any of my calls.

I'm still puzzled as to why this all occurred, but I'm guessing pantech needed some breaking point because i would've had this phone forever. Needless to say I had to get a new phone and my Pantech Duo is in the mail right now!!

don't buy this phone

pros:
decent camera
small and lightweight
flashlight is awesome (best thing about the phone O_o)

cons:
where do i begin...
drops calls ALL THE TIME. randomly dies from time to time. at times when i flip it open the screen doesn't turn on for about 5 seconds. it won't tell me if i received a text message or missed a call until a few hours (or even days) later even if i have full reception. after a few months it wouldn't send or receive media messages (no it wasn't the service, it was the phone). has low/no reception most everywhere. the phone has frozen on me multiple times.

i wouldn't recommend this phone to anybody

had this phone for over a year

i definitely like this little phone, its a conversation starter for sure. everyone seems to want to fiddle with it and is sure to mention something about how tiny it is

PROS:
i love the flashlight! its bright and helps me find random things without having to get up and turn on the light
the camera works quite well
little and compact, easy to hide at work
loud ring tones with a vibe and ring option
very sturdy, i'm hard on phones dropping them all the time and such

CONS:
the outer button that activates the camera has fallen off, and when i had it on there the camera would turn on and take pics of my pocket or purse
easy to loose, though i have yet to do so *knock on wood* but would be a problem if i carried a huge purse around
not recommended for bigger hands/fingers
i can see how texting would be difficult, but i don't text

Excellent Light Weight Phone

Feb 12, 2008 by Austiniter

This is one small and tiny phone whose keypad is remarkably big for accessing keys. I've had the phone for 4 months and very happy with it. For heavy talkers this phone may or may not be for you. The reception on this phone is unbelievable. I put it against the Blackberry, Palm and Sony which are on AT&T wireless and the Pantech C3 had 5 bars of coverage whereby most of the other phones offered 3-4 bars at best. Speaking to the AT&T wireless people I'm told that Pantech C3 and Pantech line of phones do have the best reception of any phones out there.

PRO's: Smallest phone out there, very light weight, great color display screen, best reception of any phone out there that I've ever experienced. Talk time about 2 hours 40 minutes.

CON's: Camera basically is pretty useless and takes horrible pictures. It's almost impossible to find extra batteries (OEM) out there.

Pantech alright but not so great

Pros: small, cute design
good camera with flash
I like the flashlight

Cons: people on the other end find it difficult to hear me
small
buttons small
some glitches... hangs up, turns off randomly
no video
ringtones suck
