Pros
-Big Screen (the best thing with this phone)
...Why screen are always fragile on new gadget?)
-2megaPixel Camera(Awesome Picture Quality)
Flash, zoom, night mode, can make little modification on picture)
-Mp3 player
-Video Recorder
-Slide Style
-mini SD(up to 2gig)
-Bluetooth
-24 mb memory built-in
-good speaker
-great reception
-low price
-FM radio

Cons
-The phone reboot for nothing when using the media player.
-lack of EVDO(so no SPARK service from Telus)
-indoor picture are not the best
-slow software(specialy in menu or with the night camera mode on)
-after only one week the screen have already some little scratch..

I LOVE MY PHONE!!!!

Sep 15, 2009 by chi town

This is the best phone i have ever owned, and i have had plenty! I purchased this phone just looking for something reliable, the sales clerk at U.S.Cellular suggested this one,she showed me hers and a second sales person had one too.I figured i waste so much money on crappy phones what do i have to loose? Bottom line it was the best investment i made.I have now owned the phone for~3.5 years and counting,I have never had to send it in for servicing, until now, callers cant hear me yet i hear them fine. U.S.Cellular isnt carrying any Nokias now& im hot about it.I've been holding off taking it in for fear they'll tell me to replace it& in my humble opinion, they dont have anything that can compare, unless i switch to one of the smartphones WITH required internet activation that i DONT need :( Thinking about looking for one unlocked off the internet but a lil scared it wont work if its from Canada. If anyone has info please let me know.

The Nokia 6265i phone has several problems

Jul 28, 2009 by JMGeri

I got this phone in January. The call log holds only the last call someone made. My previous phone Nokia 6255i logged the last 5 calls per #. We tried to sync 3 different bluetooth's with it but the phone never found them. When texting it always starts out in capital letters. In less than 5 months the sound on handset stopped working. The phone still worked but you had to use speaker phone or a ear piece. Soon after that outer screen quit working when slid open. Before the end of July it stopped working completely. This phone only lasted 6 months. My previous phone lasted over 5 years.

Good little unit

I used this handset for about a year and its a great little phone. Never had any problems with it and was good till I lost it fishing :(

Pro's:
- Nice camera with flash
- Loud speaker system
- Used it to play my tunes over speaker phone
- Very user friendly
- Memory slot was accessible at all times
Just awesome!!!

Con's:
- Plastic was very easy to crack or chip off
- Playing mp3's on it drained the battery quick.

Was never really a Nokia fan...This phone made me one. Keep it up Nokia

Awesome Nokia phone!!!!!

Well, I have owned this phone since early 2007 and must say a couple years later I still love the phone - though currently I am using a BlackBerry Pearl.

I used my (silver) Nokia 6265i on the U.S. Cellular network in Central and Northeast Iowa. It was not carried on this network long before it was discontinued which is a shame.

The main thing that attracted me to this phone was the BEAUTIFUL vibrant screen and the unique camera. The phone has all of the basic applications, a few games that come with, and the miniSD slot. (No card included) Something else unique about the phone is the FM Radio, something I have only seen on Nokia phones but it's pretty neat and gets good reception from what I could tell.

I ended up getting the miniSD for my phone as a gift, which turned out to be the best thing I did for the phone. I was able to store plenty of music and pictures on my 6265i without any problem - and the sound quality was amazing. The loud speaker used for music and speaker phone was crisp, clear, and plenty loud.

One complain I have is the speaker on the handset used for regular conversations (non-speaker phone) was a little bit too quiet. If I was going down a busy road with a lot of traffic it became quite difficult to hear, a problem I normally don't have with other phones. So that could have been made a little louder.

I can't realy complain about the number-lit keypad, it was a nice soft bluish gray color which wasn't too bright in the dark.

I did get many compliments on the phone, but it seemed many people made fun of the thick brick shape the phone had. Which, even for 2007 this phone is very fat. I work at a retail store and it always looked like I was stealing a bottle of cologne in my pocket. No other slider phones on the market are this thick, so that is a definite negative - however I always felt that the great screen made up for it and made it look less dated.

So - overall great quality and no problems what-so-ever!!

I Miss My 6265i

I obsessed over this phone until I got it. Even with its quirks I loved it. When it would freeze up, no problem, just power off and then back on. I tolerated this and memory card quirks because all the great features made it worth it. The screen is beautiful and easily visible in direct sunlight. The ringer is very loud with quality sound. The camera is the best Ive seen in a 2mp. The menus and customization are simple and logical. Two of my favorite features were animated wallpaper and video ringers. There are so many themes available.(some animated). I had 48 various themes. My biggest gripes are no fast foward/rewind on video player and there seems to be a maximum download limit. I could never download a video over approximately 4000 kb directly to the phone. Also you can download music and video directly to the phone but not wallpaper.(strange). You will have to use data cable or memory stick. I wasnt able to use streaming because Metros service doesnt support it. Alas, my screen began having horizontal lines in it and we parted ways. Since then I have been an AT&T customer. I often think about the 6265i on their service. If anyone knows an alternative to the 6265i please let me know. Preferably Nokia. Thanks in advance.
