Sanyo MM-8300
Average Ratings
Excellent Choice!
I've had my 8300 for just over 4 months now and love it...Great phone, excellent features, user friendly. I've had cell phone since 1989 (yes, I had the "brick" by Motorola at one time)...This is by far the best phone I've ever had in all areas (reception, features, user friendliness, etc.)! Highly recommend it!
Sanyo does NOT mean compact
Being a new Sprint customer, I decided to try out the best selling phone in my local store. I got stuck with a red Sanyo 8300 and right off the bat, I said to myself, "this is one bulky phone". In this day and age of compact phones that don't hold back on bells and whistles, this phone (8300) has the bells and whistles but it sure is BIG just like all the other Sanyo predecessors in Sprint's line of phones.
Pros: Great RF, for a bulky phone, it's comforting in my hand when calling, camera is pretty good too
Cons: I was never impressed by Sanyo's call quality in its phones. Good grief, another stubby antenna with a flimsy build when extended. In most cellphone forums, the biggest complaint for this phone is the size, the design and mostly the call quality. It sounds like someone is speaking to you through a cardboard box. The speakerphone has its drawbacks to the audio is choppy.
For an extra $30, I traded in my Sanyo 8300 and got me a Samsung MM-A880.
Good Phone
I recently had a sanyo 7400 and I decided to purchase this phone, so far impressed sound quality is great. Features are better then the 7400 and the phone is smaller! I feel its the best of both worlds smaller package but feature rich and quality.
Great
I bought this phone July 23 and I liked the phone every since I first seen it. I bought this phone because the Sprint phone that I had owned for a year started acting funny to find out it had a glitch in the software, but back to the subject I just love this phone. Sound quality perfect as for ring tones and when used on the speaker-phone mode sound is still clear, so clear that I can hear things in the background very well. Well to anyone looking to but this phone, good choice as far as mechanics and design (very simple style, just like me).
mm-8300
So far after 2 weeks no problems.
This is a very nice phone' I've always had motorola ,and this one is the best so far glad I switched
Nice
A week ago I went to the Sprint store to pick a phone for my girlfriend. I was going to get the 8200 but decided to wait for the 8300 to surprise her. I got there on Monday of this week (7/11) and picked up a red one for her. She absolutely loved it. The color is very eye catching. I looked very closely, and it does not have crystal like flakes like the 8200. I wanted to keep it for myself but that would not be fair. Everything looks very similar to the 8200 especially the green leds. The interchangeable bezel really made no difference on the red one.
great phone
communications devise wise, its better then most other sprint phone. had the samsung a920, its great for the graphics and tv stuff, but power vision is worthless because the screen is too small to be meaningful and be excited about and it cost too much also.
Awesome Phone! Sanyo Rules
I love this phone. It is simple and yet has really cool features...such as the camcorder. The speaker phone sounds great. It is very easy to use as well. Sanyo phones rule!
