I wanted it so bad for the NOKIA name & reception, but...

Mar 19, 2006 by coyote77

I could not hear the conversations clearly. So what is the use of a stronger signal?

The internal LCD was poor in quality...hard to see outdoors.

Leaves finger prints on the outside of the slick black version, cannot keep it clean.

It feels like it's going to come apart (not very solid feeling).

I returned this phone the next day and I got a SAMSUNG T309 and I like it so much more. Even though it does not get as good of a signal as the NOKIA, I can hear my conversations. The SAMSUNG T309 addresses all the above issues. I give this phone a 4 rating.

Great phone

Mar 6, 2006 by The-Hitman

I just picked up this phone the other day from Rogers (Canada), and I have to say it's the best cell-phone i used.

Pros:

- Great battery life

- Fast charging

- Camera

- Singal strengh

- Volume

- Easy to use menus

- Nokia

- Flip-phone

- Black and sliver

Cons (very minor):

- Cannot adjust the backlight to stay on longer.

- Things stay on after closing the phone (menus have to hit "End")

- Not very durable (but I am careful)

That's it with the cons.

Summary:

- Battery life: The battery life is great, (very long), my OTHER cell phone I was using it could stay on the charger for a good day and once I use it go browse or call on person the battery would go down to 1 bar. THIS cell phone is much batter. I called someone and played with the camrea and the battery is still at full. When i first got it. The batter was at 2 bars and i used the carmea/video called people, and played around it lasted a very good 11 hours before I got the "Low Battery" warning.

Charging time: Unlike my other cellphone the battery charge takes about 2hrs. (my other cell took 5 to 6 hours).

Camrea: It's great. Lacks zoom, but great.

Volume: Nice and loud.

Easy to use menus: Very standard

Nokia: What's there to say.. Nokia rocks!

Great colour!

The backlight is not one very long and you cannot adjust it. Oh well.

Nokia 6102

Wonderful phone. I've had this phone for over a month now and still haven’t found anything to scream about. It's durable, small, and fashionable. It has incredible reception. It has great free ring tones.

The only set back about the phone is that it doesn't have blue tooth, but the speakerphone makes up for that set back. The speakerphone is loud and clear for both parties on the phone.

I was about to get a razor until I found this phone. I changed my mind when my friend told me he had to replace his razor 5 TIMES. I quickly changed my mind and bought this phone and I couldn't be happier:)

Looks are deceiving, this phone is great!

I was very suprised at how much I ended up liking this phone. I upgraded to this phone with Cingular on 1/16/06. My last phone was a Moto v400, before that I had a Nokia (3595). Although this phone has a very simple design, it's still a Nokia and very durable.

Pros:
-Ringer is very loud (vibrate feature is weak though)

Volume is very loud.

-Speakerphone is loud enough to be heard over road noise with radio turned down.

-Ring tones are seriously lacking (only polyphonic tones come with phone, be prepared to download if you need MP3 music tones)

-Camera is good quality (you can edit, rename, crop and insert text into your photos...very cool) No flash though, but it does come with a "night mode" for low light situations.

-Video is very easy to use, good sound quality one 1 min max record time

-LCD screens - Main screen is as good as any other phone, Mini screen is still pixilated, but still a color screen

Signal strength is good, no dropped calls to mention.

You can adjust ringer volume, access voice dial and camera while phone is closed.

Haven't used radio yet, but I'm sure based on the speakerphone volume the quality is decent.

CONS:

Graphics- Nokia still has a way to go before it catches up with Moto and Samsung in LCD graphics, it's like comparing Atari to XBOX in graphics.

And the menu animations are weak ( I know that's petty, but if you've had recent Moto model phone, you know what I mean)

Phone scratches easily, and gets covered in fingerprints.

who needs to go through 500 menus!?!?!?

i have had this phone for a couple of months now and it is a decent nokia

pros

good looks
big screen
loud
nice ring tones
cool walpapers
good battery life

cons

you need a special charger
you have to go through 500 menus to get to one thing
fuzzy sounding
drops calls alot

over all decent phone but sony ericsson and motorola kicks this ones butt!!!!!

Nice Phone

I love the way the cellphone looks like.

PROs

-video and camera
-the picture quality is great
-very classy design
-colored LCD
-awesome reception
-Clear call quality
-Loud, clear speakerphone
-EXCELLENT reception
-Good battery life
-Voice dialing/commands work well
-excellent sound
-crystal clear reception
-external color display
-Record sounds and apply as ringtone

CONs

-when u download Music Tone the sound isn't clear
-requires earphones for radio
-no Bluetooth
-ringer seems to change the volume on it's own sometimes
-the volume is very soft
-Stub external antenna-its kinda big
-the camera isn't built in flash, only night mode
-need headphones to use radio
-outer shell scratches easily
-ringing selection is very limited much better they put a lot so you'll have a lot of choices
-memory 3.5 MB should have more than that

I'm just hoping that when you download music tones the sound quality should be clear. But so far I'm happy and contented of my Nokia 6102.

Good at first but not anymore

Alright i've had this phone since november. I love nokia's they have amazing battery life however after not even two months of use i do not enjoy this phone anymore.

I take pretty good care of my phones. I tend not to drop them to often however i don't carry it around in any special belt clip or anything.

When i first got this phone i was so happy with it. But now its just slowly going down hill.

Pro's:
The battery life is awesome
the picture quality is amazing
the games that come on the phone are pretty entertaining.
you can customize a lot of features on this phone.. the color of the text on the main and front displays, as with many nokia's you can change the title of the settings.

Cons:

--the phone itself is jumpy with the menus and is becoming slow.
--the volume of the ringtone makes it sound awful and distorted, but when turned down you can no longer hear it.
--i have the automatic ear piece volume control turned on however its usually way to loud so i have to turn the earpiece down or way to quite and i can't hear anything. With the automatic turned off i can never hear anyone without turning the volume up.
--I've experienced a few times where the phone just freezes up and you have to totally shut it off to get it working again.
-- the radio is pretty crappy
--Doesn't come with much standard in the ways of ringtones or backgrounds(but then again you have the fantastic camera for that issue)

Good Phone

Got this phone to replace my samsung e317 which had HORRIBLE sound quality, people were low and muffled. My signal in my house is kinda low too.

This phone is louder, could be a bit louder but its much louder and much clearer. The features on it are nice, id recommend it.

One complaint I have is the photo caller ID, the picture doesnt take up the entire screen on the outside when someone is calling, and you cant end a call with the phone closed.

Returned the phone the same day

With the volume at the highest, I still can't hear anything. The volume is inadequate. Having been a nokia fan prior to LG & Samsung, this buy far is the worst Nokia phone.

There is not auto answer with headset.

Pros:

flip phone from Nokia
great weight, nice size

Cons:

fatal flaw . . . volume is too low even when on high.
ugly screen (I am used to samsung a900 screen)
horrible outside display
ridiculous UI
standard ring tones

I hate the phone...it went back 3 hours after I bought it.
Cincinnati Bell Wireless has no contracts...ever...and so I just returned it and will stay with sprint for the moment.

I am not a fan of GSM so I am already bias.

i love this phone

I have only had this phone for a short while but I am loving it! The reception is great the pictures are fantastic and it is very easy to use. I haven't found anything with this phone that I do not like as yet.
Again, great phone
