Piece of crap!

Jun 25, 2006 by elkoholic18

The main reason i bought this phone was that i knew nokia phones had a reputation for being durable. This phone disproves that reputation. The second day i got it i dropped it (it happens to the best of us) it landed on the carpet and the outer shell broke open. I was able to snap it back together no problem with only a little scratch on the antenna. From that day on the phone was crap, there was always dust behind the screen. I had it for a total of 4 months and it started to work spastically, the screen would turn off and on then go staticy and then freeze up.

The bottom line with this phone is its a great phone, but don't drop it, don't breathe on it and certainly don't look at it. It's pretty, so put it in a glass container and put it on your desk to be looked at, if you plan on doing anything more than looking at it, you'll be buying a new phone in a couple months.

Horrible

The only good thing I like about this phone is the quality of the camera. Besides that, this has to be the worst phone I have ever had. The speakerphone is not as loud as it should be, and I shouldnt have to worry about holding it in a certain way to be able to hear the person on the other line. Phone freezes on me constantly, and why am I limited to the amount of voice dialing numbers I can have?! CIngular should have paid me to take this phone off of their hands.

Greetings From the City of Huh?? What you say population everyone who owns this phone!!!

The only pro about this phone is that it proves to be a great paper weight!! Whoever made this phone should repent and ask the Lord to forgive them! The sound quality sucks, you can barely hear the person on the other line (as they are screaming into their phone), the camera well lets just say if it weren't for you seeing shadows there would be no picture!! I hate it, it is hard to plug the charger in, I mean really as a man that is just terrible to say!!! The radio sucks as you have to have headsets with it, hello that is what speaker phone is for!!! The makers of this phone made one crucial error and that was to finish making it!!!

USELESS!

Could not stand this phone. Sound is not loud enough and just is not clear. The phone's design is bad! Can break or get damaged easily as my dropped a short distance and I saw a crack on the front screen. Maybe others have had luck, but here the signal reception is worthless. The only good thing about this is the battery life is good and the camera is better than most. Other than that, its pretty much useless. Those two things are not a very big concern (well maybe battery life) for me.

Nokia 6102

I've had several flip phones and I must say that the Nokia 6102 is by far the best flip phone that I have ever owned. Nokia makes a quality phone and I've owned several of them since 1997. This phone is not available in Blue Tooth yet but the sound quality and is outstanding! The keys are large making dialing easy and the display screen is very clear! The camera function is weak but as far as I'm concerned, a phone is used to make calls and not take pictures! I've hardly ever had any dropped calls since owning this phone and it's a good simple reliable phone that I recommend!

NO MORE PAYING FOR RING TONES! OR WALLPAPER

Feb 21, 2006 by chico007

I had this phone for a month now and it works great! No more paying for ring tones, wallpaper, or even games! Thanks to my infrared USB I could transfer files when ever I want. You could also use Nokia PC Suite to manage your phones files. Drag and drop it's that simple! I haven't dropped a call, reception was excellent. T-Mobile service.
The only CON was when browsing through the menu, there is a two second delay.

Wonderful

6102

i've had this phone for about 2 months, maybe more. i love the phone, it's wonderful, and it's alot more durable than you'd think from the "cheap" make of it. mine's hit concrete more than a few times, and it only has 1 scratch, and that's from when it went flying across a parking lot. it's a great phone if you don't mind the few things there are.
PROs: signal strength, battery life, picture quality, infared, voicetags, fm radio, voice recorder can be used for ringtones, durability, simplicity, the running it does when you close it in the middle of an application, you can open right back up to where you were
CONs:slight delay when flipped open, memory is decent, but i only have 20 pics and 15 ringtones with minimal memory left. outside display screen is kinda crappy

NOKIA 6102 for Cingular

Feb 9, 2006 by lilchild

I got this phone a week ago and let me tell you guys that Im not very happy with it, why? here goes some pros and cons.

PROS:
+Camera quality
+Keypad
+Battery life
+Voice recording can be use as ringtone
+Mp3 ringtones

CONS:
+Cingular service
+Reception sucks
+2nd screen has only 4k colors
+Cheap design, quality
+Ear pierce & speaker sound is terrible
+Lack of 1.3MP and flash

Now i have no other choice, i have to stay with this crap for 1 1/2 year till my contract expire. I would recommend this phone if it has good sound quality.
