What a major improvement over the VM4500

Nov 22, 2004 by awesomedeals88

After playing with this phone for 1 day, I rate it a 4.5!! This is by far the best phone I have seen for Sprint. It has a lot of wonderful features. I highly recommend others to purchase this handset. The different colored faceplates is what makes this phone so unique and looks very sexy.

Pros
1)Speakerphone is loud and can be used when the phone is closed.
2)Ringtones are loud and crisp.
3)Meeting mode is an excellent feature.
4)30 second video is awesome.
5)Different color faceplates.
6)When someone calls you it says "Call From ***-***-**** or the persons name.
7)2.8MB memory to download games, screen savers, ringers, and applications.
8)Multimedia clips.
9)Very clear pictures day/or night without seeing the yellowish background.
10)Voice recognition dialing is very cool.
11)Option to ignore a call and send it straight to voicemail.
12)Very fast vision.

Cons
1)Only 9 Speed Dial locations.
2)Costly phone + $20 additional for each faceplate.
3)Only 64K colors and 0.3 MP camera.

Verdict: Must have phone!!!!!

The Best Phone Available!!!

Dec 3, 2004 by loowit_marikit

I just exchanged my A700 with this phone today and I am really glad that I did! At first, I thought the A700 is cooler but after spending more time playing with the MM7400, I was just swept away with its features and capabilities. This is my 4th phone in the upgrade program and I kept changing every 15 days because I cannot find the right features from the other phones I've had (A680, VM4050, A700).

The only thing I can consider as con about this phone is its camera when compared to the A700. But the camera is pretty decent already, screen is great for multimedia, and I really like the animated buddy in the LCD displays. Besides, I think the video quality is far better than the A700.

I am really satisfied with this phone and I think my search is finally over. I am hanging on to this until my next upgrade (yes, I am picky because I like to use my phones for at least two years before retiring them). All functions of this phone is worth every penny.

BTW, this phone is very intelligent! So, do not even think twice in getting the MM7400. All the talk about the 5600 cannot even sway my conviction that I finally found the best phone to keep me company for the next two years. Love this, love this, love this!!!

The best phone I have ever had!!!

Simply the best phone I have ever had. Worth the $200 price tag. I do not use all the features but would say that the only improvement would have been Bluetooth. I had the Treo 600 and the RL-4920. This phone is so far ahead of those two it isn't even close to being funny... Don't waste your time searching any further, this is the one!!!

The Best Phone on the Market

Sep 20, 2005 by Sprint.

I work for Sprint and own the phone as well, and there is no better phone out there. The reception is great, the rubber protects it and allows it to be warrantied even after you drop it... It has camera, 30 second video, and is ready link enabled. It's a bargain at $349 which is $20 cheaper than the A700 (which has less features), and $80 cheaper than the 5600. Some people want everything in a phone, and it amazes me that some people have problems with the size or look of a phone. As I ask my customers, "Do you want a pretty phone.... or a phone that works?" If you're worried about fashion become a model. If you want a good phone, buy this one. If you have the phone and have problems with it, go to the store and let them check it. I have sold tons of these phones and NONE come back.

fun but...........

i bought this phone because i loved the features and the guy at the booth sold me on this phone being rugged. WRONG exactly one week after i bought it i dropped it and the right hinge broke. ok then i got a replacement from sprint and a month later the exact thing happened again.....

THERE IS NO COMPARISION

First i would recommend this phone to anyone who has never even had a cell phone prev. This is a phone i use for business and personal. For me being a rep. in this industry it is very helpful to have a phone that gets great service everywhere. The features on this phone is AMAZING
1. THE SPEAKERPHONE MAKES FOR AWESOME MP4 RINGERS
2. THE SPRINT SERVICE IS EXCEEDED ON THIS PHONE
3. THE LOOK ON THE PHONE IS AWESOME THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT FACEPLATES YOU CAN GET FOR THIS PHONE
There are really one con for this phone and that is the Sprint standard charger if possible when you buy the phone get the flat charger

Great phone, weak reception

Aug 3, 2005 by cpfred

This is a great phone with lots of style and features. However, living in Southwestern Colorado, reception is a bigger issue to me than features. It is more important to me that a call gets through or doesn't get dropped, than having multi-media, walkie talkie and camera.

Pros: Great styling
Love the feel
Nice looking screens, both internal and external.
The software works much better than older versions for deleting text messages enmasse, rather than one at a time.
All-in-all much easier to use and customize than earlier models.

Cons: Poor reception. I am currently sitting at my office desk, where I used to get a full 4 bars or service, and now only get 2, sometimes 1.
Have had calls dropped in areas of town I have never had problems before.
Have missed calls when the phone has been on and did not ring, but because of lousy reception, the caller went to voice mail.

I like it!

I must say! The 7400 is an excellent phone to the point of me recommendin' it to everyone else. All the features are great and the cam/video is a lot better than expected. Signal stays strong and the speaker is good also.

Excellent all around phone

Jun 27, 2005 by stormy7777

This phone holds a signal extremely well. Calls sound crystal clear. The web browser works well and so does the ready-link. The camera is average, but if you want a great camera you shouldn't bother with a cell phone. Battery life is also great, even with using vision on a regular basis.
