If you can afford it, BUY IT- What you might not know
This phone has been keeping me entertained for days. I can't seem to put it down. I'm a gadget nut. I paid 300$ for this phone, but i see it online for $279- price includes the mailin rebate. anyway, i would not dare spend $469 on a cellphone. I even had a problem with 300$. But im over it now. The benefit exceeds the cost.
Pros:
I'm not going to into all the pros- if you're reading this..chances are you read a bunch of these and you have an idea. But here's what i found out. This phone is very similar to a PDA. I recently downloaded software from the Ericsson site. Which allows you to synchronize your contact list and calendar with your Microsoft outlook. That's very important to me. The software is free, but all you need is either a usb bluetooth adapter or a cable that connects your phone to the computer. Means i dont always have to carry my PDA with me.
Screen is the best i've seen on a cellphone, 262,000 colors- cant go wrong.
The size of the screen is large.
Camera is 1.3 megapixels, and takes great pics in well lit settings.
It comes with the Sony Memory stick USB reader so you can copy music, pics, themes, etc. to your phone.
It's a little chubby, but i think it looks cool.
I downloaded a cool theme maker software from the ericsson site as well. Very cool.
Cons:
Voice Dialing is limited to 50#'s. I was spoiled with my last samsung phone, in which you didnt even have to record anyones name with a tag, it just looked for the way you pronounced the name... and automatically searched through your contact list.
The Operating system is a little slow.
Letdown.
The features of this phone are very exciting. The design of the phone is very exciting. The performance of the phone is terrifying.
The software is very sluggish. From navigating menus to photo caller IDs. It makes the phone unbearable. Since it is a newer model it is also harder to find content.
And to top it off, the RF performance fluctuates. I can't say I've dropped a call, but it is inconsistant in "signal bars". The phone also drops data connection constantly.
For what it is, a multimedia device is where it excels. Best camera I've ever seen and the upgradeable memory makes it a MP3 and game machine. But of course, combined with bluetooth you will be charging this phone every night.
To sum this all up in a word? Blah.
