I cannot live without it
I love my sidekick II. I have a sprint phone, but always wanted a sidekick, so I got one. I know people were complaining that it did not support java script. Well if you down load the new system update, it will support it.
PROS:
-Cool screen (use a screen protector and it won't scratch
-you can change the side bumpers (mine are now magenta)
-your email is automactially sent too you
-has AIM
-has Camera
-has the internet (can go to EVERY website)
Cons:
-nothing, I love it!!!!

First off, why is it in most reviews that people remark about the coverage? That is network dependent and in no way shape or form a reflection of whether the phone's features are good enough. Please. With that out of the way and having not used the first sidekick, this one is almost to where I would like to see it, with bluetooth improvements and and SD card slot as potential in the sidekick 3 this phone really is great! I love how much info you can store on your contacts and how customizable everything is! The Desktop interface is great, though the more applications you download the more you are scrolling! Sometimes I wish the scroll menu allowed you to go back around to get to certain apps faster. I agree with the lack of JAVA being annoying because if this little thing had a fully functional browser then I wouldn't need to waste my money on a laptop! I was a little annoyed that I had to download an alarm clock? Whats up with that? Danger has come a long way in improving mobile communication with this device. I like the flip up screen and the keyboard is a savior for text messaging! My advice is if you haven't already purchased one wait for the sidekick 3 this year! It must be coming soon because T-mobile has already moved this phone to their pre-paid phones. And if you do own one buy the sidekick 3 and sell this one on ebay!
3 weeks into my SK2
So, its been 3 weeks and I have no complaints, it took me forever before I decided on the sidekick2. I should have decided 6 months ago, but I was stuck in a contract.
I really wish my wife had one. This phone has been great to me.
Pros: everything, text, email, web, oh and I guess phone. I would rather email and text people then talk. I'm not a big talker. That said, its a great phone. "My" T-Mobile web site is super helpful. I track my minutes, send web based text messages, etc. etc... It a great phone, I'm very happy with it.
Cons: Not really cons but looking toward a better sk3.
BlueT would be nice, a slot for 1,2,3 or 4 gigabyte card would kill. Wifi speed when near a wifi connection. An atleast one mega cam. And a little more downloading speed (dsl speed) would be great. I really don't care so much about the size. If it had all this and remained the same size, I wouldn't care. If the could make x% smaller, even better.

I have had this phone for a day, and i am already in love. When i first tried it, i hated it, but my friends said it was amazing, so i got one. Shortly after setting it up, i started exploring the software, and discovered AIM. I have had many cell phones, and had given up of the idea of having aim on a phone. The sidekick 2 had your full buddy list, including icons, and awaymesseges. The signal is ok, and so far the battery is fine.

ahh.. sidekick II.... where to begin...
hey... i jus wanted to get a name on here so i could talk about my fone.. yeah. tha sidekickII is tha best fone i ever had. i use it soo much its not funny. im on it all day... this fone is basicly made for internet, aol ( aim) instant messanger... and yahoo!.. yahoo is not installed on tha fone, but is you go to downloads->applications-> communcation tools.. then you will see yahoo.. it is free to download. also if u have hearing problems. they have free IP downloads, and aol mail. over all this fone is great for teens and anyone who like chattn online, and plus with tha keyboard.. i type so fast.. n ppl will say.. " wtf is that". and they r shocked its a fone!..
t-mobile and myself has had our ups and downs, but tmobile has fixed everything that was wrong and they are tha best! i give there customer support a 9 outta 10..
recently their was a new update, which is sent to ur fone.. it downloads n ur ready to go!! the new update includes java for your web browseing.. simleys in ur text. stops freezing, and most problems...
so everything about this fone is awsome!
im acually doin all this on my sidekick now!!! how cool huh? lol
there are some hidden stuff in it too..
the internet is really fast compared to other fones.. and the coverage in my area... ( dayton ohio) is excellent... and plus if ur on a plan, tmobile has free roaming* and free GPRS (data( ex: yahoo, aim, internet, text, etc) roaming** so i love this fone, its expencive, but worth it!!

Sidekick 2 maybe the one for you
Ok, I have a sidekick 2, and when I dont have it in my hands I flip out, it is addicting, believe you me I know. Anyways I got it broke it while snowboarding, then I got a new one, but the time between when I broke it and got a new one from the company was like 5 monthes. It was ridiculous, I was about to switch providers, anyways as I was using it one day it stopped charging so I spent my money to buy a new charger thinking it would charge again...it didnt, and now I am stuck with this nice thing to look at but it does nothing. So if you dont have bad luck like me then BUY IT IT IS SO AWESOME, but if you do...watch out

I really love this phone! It is the best that i have had in a while...i mean the samsung e315 was a good phone too but this phone blows it way out of the water.
This phone is cool because...
1. It turns heads at school which is cool to get the attention..lol
2. The internet is awesome just because u can go to myspace or whatever in class when ur bored
3. U can send e-mails and go on AIM and c ur whole buddy list..with icons and everything(once you put the upgrade they send u)
4. Txting and senfing emails or whatever is awesome bcuz the keybored is amazing...
5. The camera is cool but it takes bad oics if u dont have it on the right type of flash for the condition u are in(ie:night-low light flash)
This phone is not so cool because...
1. The internet doesnt play videos or music on web paiges...im sure they will fix that if they make a 3rd one
2. The camera could be a little it better...but in the day time it is fine...just at night sometimes
3. Oh and if u txt a lot ur thumbs hurt after using 4 too long

i got this phone as a replacement for my excelent z500 and it doesnt measure up.

Sidekick 2 really the ultimate
The best cellular phone would have to be the sidekick 2. It is sort of big but small enough to fit in most places. It has great sound and the speaker is great. People say the sidekick has bad reception but there is good reception in most places. It picks up reception just like any other phone would. There is even aim with full qwerty keyboard and create you own email. There is even a flashlight. You can even download song clips. There are alot of features like alarm clock, calender, internet, email, AIM, calculator, games (there is one hidden), camera with flash, and for those who want more feature or upgrade there are lots of things from the download fun center. That why the sidekick 2 is the best. It is a lot better then lots and lots of phones.

ok.. to start off with i am a 15 year old and saved up 354.00 2 get a prepaid 1, looking foward to a good phone... it was ok at first but i soon truly regreted buying it.. i spent all of that money on a phone that wasnt really worth it.. so if u have the money its a good buy but it will become big and aggravating after a while....
