Very Pleased

May 20, 2005 by lelzie

I have had my phone for a week now and I am very happy. I had reviewed alot of the reviews about this phone on the site and was a bit concerned but found solutions to most of my problems.

Example:

1. Slow menu speeds: I also had this problem at first, but after reading various forms and getting updates to the phone that I did via UDB cable I no longer have this issue and my menus are just as smooth and fast as my V60

2. Speaker phone volume: There is software available that lets you tap into your phone and adjust the default gains that a phone will use for various types of sounds, one being the speaker phone. Now people hear me and are heard with crystal clarity. This phone now rings louder then any I have ever heard with my custom ring tones.

3. Small front window: Well I do not have an answer for this one and thus the reason why I could not rate this a 5.

So Conclusion:
Out of the box, I would agree with some of you who feel this phone is for show, but if you are computer literate in the slightest and enjoy modding and customizing your phone, the potential is incredible.

Strong Phone

Excellent phone. Just wanted to add a comment on how tough this phone is. While talking on the phone, I was accidently bumped into. Phone dropped from ear height and struck a tile floor. The phone really hit hard and the noise was very loud. Fearing the worst, I picked it up - NO visible damage, NO damage whatsoever to the phone. AMAZING.

awesome phone !!!!

Pro's
Sound Quality and
Reception on Cingular Network
Battery life
Easy to Use
Screen clarity
Bluetooth easy and excellent
voice dialing feature
ringtones sound great

Cons
a little wide for small hands
the voice dialing activation button placement
a little pricey but just came down at Cingular
Moto should have included more tones for the price for this one!!

Was it worth the wait?

Well, yes if you like the cool design. But it's kind of a love/hate relationship.

It's small, thin, sleek and folding like I wanted, but the compromise is it doesn't have video recording, mega-pixel camera, removable memory storage, FM radio, etc. And while it's not officially an MP3 player, it does play your downloaded MP3's, just not in stereo.

But of course, all these bells and whistles only further shorten the already short battery life of any/every phone.

So, I think it's a good compromise. Sure, there are other phones out there that have all these other things (and even TV reception), but are much more bulky which is what I was trying to avoid.

nice

i actually got my phone in today and was able to fuss around with it. The screen is amazing, and the features on the phone are similar to that of the v600. The screens on both ends of the phone are very clear. The size of the phone is amazing. The phone is as wide as a credit card, and is only about 1/3 - 1/2 in longer than a cc, and of course, it is amazingly slim. The appearance of the phone is what will catch the eye. the phone is an absolute beaut. I like the fact unlike the v600, there is no plug for a regular headset, so makes the phone look clean. My only beef with this phone is that it is a different charger than all the other motorola products. So there is one charger for the headset, and one for the phone and that is a little annoying. But besides the small anal things, the phone is great.

Who cares about the price???

Got it last week and activated it with Fido (Canada) Absolutely love it. Just wish the camera resolution is a bit higher. For the Christmas season, most new ones high end will be 1.3 megapixel [...]

Ed. note: removed commercial & pricing info

I Love It!!!

I love this phone! Sleek and beautiful design, bright and clear screen, great reception, great earpiece/speakerphone, I could go on and on...

If only they made the camera a megapixel...

Krussell (www.krussell.se) has a case available for it that actually looks nice...

LOOKS GREAT!!!! its just a thin version of the V600

the moto razor is a great looking phone it has bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixell camera and also plays back video thats great to but. Dosen't the v600 do all that stuff to the razor is a waste of money when yo can get the v551 for $400.00 cheaper and be able to record video to

pros: it has bluetooth thin design laser cut keys titanium case mp3 tones 1.3 meg camera

cons: no video recorder over priced over rated !!!

Wow. When i first heard of this phone i was so excited to get it. then i heard about the price tag. then i heard that cingular and Motorola were having a contest to get the phone for FREE!!! A few months later, i received my phone, for free by the way. I had a v600 before this and a v400 before that. Motorola has really outdone itself with this phone. there is only 1 negative thing i have about this phone...it does not take video. but thats OK because there is not one good quality video phone in the US anyways. I enjoy using this phone and recommend it to anyone who has the money. Its freakin awesome. I love it, its my new baby!!!!!!!!

Love both of my V3s

Oct 11, 2005 by jcroft

I love the V3 so much I have 2. One I have as a gophone and the other as my regular phone.

The only negative about the phone is the way motorola sets up the contact entries.

Other then that I love the phone. No complaints.
