I love my phone

Aug 19, 2005 by Bren

Not only do I like this phone better than any other I have ever had, it has great signal strength and reception, considering I live near the mountains and used to constantly lose signal. Now, I always have a signal, I love the big screen, my daughter loves to play games on the phone, the graphics and ringtones available for the phone are great, and the picture quality is pretty good considering that it is on a cell phone. Anyone who is considering it I definetley reccomend the phone and I have it in black, which is for a limited time only!

Everything they said it'd be

Back when product development started on this product, I jumped on board, having had great experiences in the past with Motorola's StarTAC line of phones, keeping an eye on development and breaking news through Motorola's communications about it.

I'm not disappointed. With my old Compaq/HP PDA rapidly approaching old age, I'm finding out that this phone does everything my PDA use to do - and then some.

Coupled with T-mobiles great competitive rates and robust features, it makes an excellent travel companion for our travels to and from Canada, and everywhere in between.

Some Pros & Cons:
- Great screen contrast and brightness
- Exceptional signal quality and clarity
- Durable (And stylish too)
- Lots to fiddle with
- Excellent talk time and battery life

Cons:
- Can be hard to grip, maybe *too* thin
- Highly polished parts are easily smudged
- T-Mobile Holster blocks the digital camera and grips like a gorilla

Satisfied Customer,
San Diego, CA

Quality Phone

Jul 25, 2005 by hottoddy36

When this phone FIRST came out I was NOT impressed....except, of course, for the dimensions. To me it seemed like a Moto v600 psckaged in a sleek housing and priced four times higher! Well, I waited out the initial rush and once the prices dipped into the low $300's I decided to go ahead and get an "out on the town" phone - my siemens sx66 pocket pc phone edition is a bit bulky to fit in the pocket for a night out.
So, I checked out some reviews and went for it, primarily for the size factor. It turns out that it really does seem to be a v600 in a sleek, skinny aluminum package. But, slimness aside, the remaining dimensions are not all that diminutive - it is relatively tall and wide - not aweful, but those dimensions defintely do not go along with the thickness.
Anyhow I have been pleased with this phone through and through.
Here is a brief PROS/CONDS list for you to consider when contemplating a purchase.

PROS
-First and foremost, LOOKS!! Sharp looking.
-Solid, metal build quality
-Internal and external displays are bright and colorful
-Quality camera(not AWESOME, but good)
-Nice, blue-lit one-piece keypad
-Mini-USB connection/charger
-QUAD-BAND GSM/GPRS w/EXCELLENT reception
-Bluetooth works seamlessly

CONS
-Size and shape make finding a leather case that fits and works nearly impossible (maybe Krussel, but not sure)

Overall, this is a good, quality phone. It is not on the leading edge of technology (aside from design) but it is a solid, quality unit that, now that prices are reasonable, is worth looking into. While I have 13 GSM phones in the stable, now that I have the RAZR, I primarily switch between the Siemens sx66 and the Razr and the others collect more dust than call time!

Have a look, the V3 Razr may very well be just what you need and exactly what you are looking for!

Style and performance.

Firstly the reception and call quality on this solid gem is as good as it gets.
Secondly, the rich colours and sounds are a feast for the senses.
Thirdly, the look, design, style, call it what you will...it's like nothing ever made nor will ever be made again. People will look at you like you're from the future!
A reminder, the mp3, video, and cam features are nice to have...but le't not forget, it's a PHONE!!!

And for a PHONE, it's fabulous!

V3 Right on Target

I love it! The styling to me is dynamic. The functions are all I really want and are easy to use. Most of all I like the fact that everyone can't afford one. Not everybody can afford a Jaguar. Does cost make it a bad car? It does about the same thing most cars do that are priced much less. Should this phones ratings go down because of the cost? Motorola makes a phone for every budget. I now believe Motorola is targeting to all customers. Some may not agree with my logic, but then I like to own unique items. Good luck!

awsome

ok bought a palm trio650 last week from sprint and have had the worst signal you can imagine. i dropped almost every other call....and the phone stunk and so did the volume...ok so i went to sprint gave it back said goodbye...now i got a motorola
razr from cingular and am very impressed.
and it has the date book that i needed and was the reason i bought a trio....
much lighter and now i dont have to hold a skate board to my ear to talk....
also the bluetooth works amazing with my razr...i had many bluetooth problems with my trio...went through 3 different brands to find the right one...

so to sum it up if your going to spend cash and dont really need all the pda features then get yourself a razr...or dont buy a trio...

So Far, So Very GOod

Ever since I started working for Cingular, I have wanted to buy it and kept going back and forth. I even bought it off someone and gave it back. I finally gave in and bought it again. I couldn't be happier with it. True, it's a little hard to hear but I work in a mall so it's to be expected. Everything else is awesome. The color screne is amazing and it's easy to navigate through. I use to have the T720, so using this is like going back home. My only complaint so far is the buttons on the sides. They feel like they are barely in there and could fall out if I ever dropped the phone. Bottom line, it's no smart phone but I don't need a smart phone. It's awesome for just using as a phone.

Razr v3 for T-Mobile

Jul 28, 2005 by MBC1965

I think the reviews for this phone should be broken out between Razr for Cingular vs. T-Mobile. Many of the complaints any low ratings have to do with Cingular and not the phone.

I am a former 7-year Sprint customer and switched to T-Mobile because of Bluetooth technology. I must say that the T-Mobile phones in general rock!! The Razr is no exception as it worked perfectly out of the box. Pairing with my Acura TL and my BT headset were simply seemless. No problems at all.

I hear a lot of complaints about the Moto menuing system, but I just don't see the problem. It isn't slow at all, and it is very intuitive. If you want the same menuing system, buy the same brand phone! Different brand - Different menu!!

Pros:
- Sleek and thin design
- Very responsive
- Extremely clear calls!!!!
- Bluetooth works!!! (I'm not used to that coming from Sprint)
- Buy software to link your computer to the phone to customize with MP3 ringers, wallpapers, etc. Awesome feature.

Cons:
- Spotty reception in some buildings
- Thin design may mean fragile - but I haven't seen that yet and I'm pretty tough on my phones.
- Nothing else! Everything else about the phone is incredible.

Not as bad as everyone says

Well, as far as service goes, I have tmobile, so i get pretty good coverage anywhere i go.
Now when peolpe are complaining about the features. . . I agree the phone is complicated, until you get to know it. If your a nokia or samsung user, it is definately not the same, but read the book its not hard at all. I was a previous nokia and samsnug user, and at first I will admit I hated the phone, I wasnt use to it, but once I figured it out, things were alot easier, and yeah, some of the stuff on the phone is pretty gay, like in order to customize ringtones and pic ids, the phone # s have to be saved to the phone and not the sim, but there are alot of good qualities as well. . . whenever you buy something, there is always going to be pros and cons. thats just how it works.
However, picture and video quality does suck, the pixels are horrible.
Sound quality is excellent. I can hear loud and clear.
organization is definately different, so if your looking for something like that, nokia! but it all measures down to personal preference, because they are all good phones they just have different styled features and such.

Reception

Nov 18, 2004 by PhoneScoopKasem

The phone is perfect, except for the reception end of things. GSM is really scary.
Does anyone know of a way to boost reception with Cingular? Verizon has the *228 thing, does Cingular have anything?

feel free to email any help.

PROs- hottest phone out
CONs- Reception and no video recording

Thanks
