still a decent phone

Feb 4, 2009 by knuckleballer34

Though it's hard to believe that this phone is still hanging around, the RAZR is still not a bad phone to use for "just the basics". I cannot speak for all carriers, but for AT&T users you could wind up with many phones that are much worse.

Pros:
-slightly above average reception
-battery life is pretty good
-good feel, easy to text on
-good call quality, ample volume
-the larger screen is a nice change from the microscopic ones that we're all used to

Cons:
-only 4 mb of memory
-not the sturdiest phone ever made...the thought of dropping it makes me cringe!
-ringtone volume isn't as loud as it should be
-size of the phone tends to stand out over time

The negativity i've heard about this phone is a little much. This is an average phone in every sense of the world. Except for the reception being slightly better than normal, nothing performance-wise really stands out about this phone one way or the other. For pre-paid users or basic cell phone users, this isn't a bad pick up at all. Don't buy into the negative hype.

Don't buy motorola razr

This is the worst cellphone I've ever had and can't wait until I can dump it. I have replaced the battery twice in one year. I just doesn't hold a charge. I always had LG phones in the past...This is is first and last mtorola phone I'll ever buy...by the way...my sister and daughter have the same phone with the exact same problem...

This will help you!

This is an overall amazing phone!
I just got it today so of course it's done me well...but I do have a few problems with it.

Pros
Nice Camera and quality of pictures
lit up keypad
screens are big and wide
thin and wide
Time
Bluetooth
Wallpapers/HiFi ringtones ( on T-Mobile's T-Zones)
Good battery life

Cons
Ringtones are fuzzy unless Bluetooth's on
Picutes are a little fuzzy

So the CONS aren't unfixable and you can live withput them. Overalll, one of the BEST phones out there! Go out and pick it uop! I truly wouldn't reccomend it if I didn't like it! I would be haiting on it!

Problems with the Razr V3

Oct 9, 2008 by sftbllchck115

This past January, I purchased a Razr V3. For the first couple of months it worked fine. Then in about June, I started having problems with the phone shutting off on itself and every so often dropped calls. I dealt with it for a little. I finally got fed up enough, after the number of problems increased. Since it was still under warranty, I was able to get a replacement phone. I received that replacement phone and within 3 weeks, this replacement phone started having the same problems. So once again, I contacted the phone company and they issued me a replacement phone. Not even 24 hours after receiving this replacement phone, the screen went black and I had no idea who was calling and definitely couldn't send/ receive texts.

I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I know a few other people who have this phone and they are experiencing the same problems as me. I also was on phone company's message board and there is a vast number of people experiencing problems just like myself.

Razr V3

This phone was okay. Did everything pretty basic. But the reason I got rid of it was because it has low memory and if you type fast when you text it lags like a long time.

The AT&T Wireless RAZR is excellent.

I bought the PAYG version for my plan, the V3 is excellent, great signal, good battery, lots of nice features and great form factor. You must get this phone!

Poor Quality

Sep 26, 2008 by MWA

The interface was almost unusable. The screen started accumulating dust INSIDE the phone. I experienced seemingly random glitches very often. I don't see how anyone could be satisfied with this for the length of the typical coverage plan contract. The negative aspects of this phone greatly out-weigh the positives.

Easily Broken

Sep 23, 2008 by cjohnson700

PROs: Color, weight, features, price

CONs: I've heard they are easily broken but usually chalk that up to owner abuse. This phone broke near the left hinge which to me seems a logical place for structual failure. Since it is "physically damaged," it's not covered under warranty. I would expect it to last longer than 4 months considering it's owner is 50 yrs old and is kept inside a case. AT&T offered to get it repaired out of warranty for a nominal $115. I will perform a composite repair and definitely consider another provider when renewal comes up. I would have purchased a more sturdy phone had I the insight I have today. What should I expect for free!?

decent

overall this phone has done the job well.
i got this phone after i broke my razr v3xx.
its not easy easy to text on as that but it has held up well as i am pretty hard on phones.

pros:
durable
decent signal(but not as good as v3xx)
semi-easy to text with
color lcd on front

cons:
camera is bad
the center of D pad is flat and hard to use
the key in the middle of the soft keys is practically useless.
when texting the delete or backspace button is the left soft key which i find annoying.
font is werd and ugly

most of these are just personal nitpicky problems. it works just fine until i can get a flashier new phone.=]
