GREAT!!!

Dec 28, 2006 by yurayus

I have owned this phones now for about 2 months, I sell Verizon and a small GSM provider in Fort Wayne IN called Centennial. I have owned the following phones

LG VX 4400 which was my first, and it was reliable

Kyocera KX2 (spinner) that i adored

LG VX 6100 which was a good phone

Audiovox 9900 which i can't speak highly enough about

And this bad boy right here which i have to say is probably my favorite one all things considered.

No voice dial sucks but having so many speed dials availible makes up for it. As for lag between screens i don't get a sense of that at all.

I love the ability to change profiles for rining and that the phone knows when its in a holster and when its not (via magnet) so even if it is on loud and i have it on my belt clip i can tell the phone to only ring loud when its out of its clip... that my friends to me is worth its weight in gold.

screen is huge, easy to read, battery life has served me well i use nearly 1000 minutes a month

Almost Perfect

I just got the Blackberry 7750 a couple of days ago and here are my impressions. It is a good phone with good reception but is a little bit better when you use a headset. The email is everything it has been advertised to be. I am using blackberry web client to push through a Pop3 email account and it usually comes through on the phone before my computer. The synch of contacts, calendar and tasks is as good as any PDA.

Pros:
* Good reception
* Synch contacts, calendar and tasks
* Email push for MS Exchange or for Pop3 email using blackberry web client
* Easy to use menus
* Battery lifes seems pretty good
* Qwerty keypad
* Big screen

Cons:
* Number keys are tough to dial when driving
* No bluetooth or infrared
* No analog for bad digital coverage areas

All in all, this is the perfect device if you need your email, contacts, calendar, tasks and phone all in the same place so as to not have to carry multiple devices. Any current blackberry user should get this phone and any email heavy user should do so as well.

This old sucker!

Carrier: Verizon

Here is a sad (but ultimately true, still sad story)

I got this phone new, from Verizon in 2005. FF 8 years later and I'm using an iPhone 4S on Verizon. I kill the battery and instead of getting it fixed I decide to get a Galaxy Note 3 On ebay (I'm not up for upgrade yet),well the guy never shipped the damned thing, and I just won the case to get another. So, at this point, I have to switch back to this phone.

This phone honestly still isn't bad, basic, outdated maybe, but compared to having to use a Motorola flip phone with no QWERTY (my other choice) this is far better. Apart from a few small annoyances (no vibrate, etc) I was always happy with my phone.I never had a problem with it and only left it because i had a new model at the time. Using this again is fun actually.

blackberry on a prepay account

The Blackberry 7750 is a good choice for someone on the go. I use the 7750 on Verizon using a prepay account. Over the phone upgrade (thru Verizon Corporate) did not go so well. However, I walked into the local Verizon store and walked out in 10 minutes with an activated Blackberry on a prepay account. The only drawback is no web, no email, and no picture receiving capability. I only have it for phone, and other organizational usability. I would recommend it as a useful tool to organize the daily activities and to keep in touch with contacts, calendar, and such like.

What in a second?

I used to have the 7210, so this review draws quite a bit from my comparison of the two devices. My initial complaint is that the processor in the 7750 seems to be slower. I used to fly between screens on my 7210, now I get up to a 3 second lag while switching between screens. This can be very frustrating when you're just trying to get something simple done; like reading an email and filing it.

Pros:
* Larger screen
* Better backlight
* Much better phone quality

Cons:
* Slower processor (up to 3 second lag between screens)
* Shorter battery life
* Form factor is still a bit bulky and I have large hands
* No dedicated answer/hang-up buttons for phone

If you're looking for a mobile corporate email solution I can suggest nothing better than a RIM product. The way these things integrate with Outlook/Exchange is amazing. and the wireless sync capabilities come in quite handy. You don't get the bells and whistles and like a camera or polyphonic ring tones, but it gets the job done ... period. I certainly recommend setting up a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) if you've got more than a couple of users. The increased functionality and administrative control is awesome.
