Strong Device

Carrier: T-Mobile

I have had my Nexus 6 for a week or so - purchased used.
I am a heavy user, multiple apps syncing, massive e-mail use, multiple calendars, thousands of business texts per month, a WiFi calling (T-Mobile) user, I use Mobile hotspot / mobile office PC/Tablet set-up AND GPS while on the road - currently in New Orleans after 900 mile road-trip from Dallas - this thing is a beast.
I need the data reception to be exceptional in rural areas where T-Mo doesn't excel - the rural bands work really well. I have comparisons from Samsung, SONY and HTC on highways I travel on and this Nexus is amongst the best. AND, ZERO overheating - unlike my last Xperia Z3.
Good call quality! Good on-board speakers (not quite HTC standard).
Solid bluetooth connectivity.
The camera appears to be pretty good - it writes to the internal mem quickly. I am yet to test low-light situs. I use pics taken in graphic work I do for my company and others - it's important.
Exceptionally easy set-up to get T-Mobile APN in place for full SMS/MMS LTE working.
The Moto fast charger is wild!!!!
Battery life under duress is surprising - and . . . I need that.

Cons: 1. I had to load Textra so my group texts worked - but no worries. 2. The screen "white" is not quite white like my previous Xperia Z3. But . . . I'll get over that! 3. I should have owned this a year ago!

Not Impressive

I have been using Samsung Galaxy phones but wanted a Google phone. I bought the Nexus 6 not just because it was a Google phone. On the Pro's the phone is well built and feels solid. The display is very good but pictures are not the best I have seen. The 64 bit processor is fast even though apps are still running at 32 bit. Lollypop is a great Android version and is smooth and easy to use. The stereo speakers work well for what they are and call quality is very good. For the cons, I am used to using speed dial so some of you may not care about this. This phone does not have a speed dial option. There is a screen for speed dial, but it assigns recent calls to that tab as well. I downloaded a keyboard from Google Play to resolve the issue. Notifications is my biggest complaint with this phone. You can change the notification sound, but it applies to SMS/MMS messages as well as e-mail and other notifications. You are unable to tell if you received a text or e-mail by the sound which is really annoying to me. Lastly the overall ability to customize this phone is not very good. There is a page that you can not get rid of to one side of the home screen. Over all it is not a bad phone. The battery life is good and the built in wireless charger is nice. This phone does not support Wi-Fi calling at this time, but I have been told by Google support it should when an update comes out. 4G LTE signal was fast on T-Mobile as well. The items that bugged me may not bug you, but I just expected more from a Google phone.

Nexus 6 is still elite.

I have had this device for a year now and it will remain with me for a year more. I have rooted mine and have been running CyanogenMod for awhile now. It has great and easy ways to customize themes, colors, fonts, etc. I am constantly finding new ways to make it mine.
Signal is great. LTE is prevalent and plentiful in the ATL and am never without a signal. Hardware is fast. Software is great. Have had no problems.
