VX7000 kicked my ass!

Jul 11, 2004 by 1-800-KISS-MY-ASS

I'll tell ya, that's a kick-ass phone. There's nothing better than that. Even V710 is a complete waste of money because it's an old Motorola story.

Too many side buttons ruin it !!

So Long LG

Aug 17, 2004 by astravitz

As the proud owner of the LG TM-510 for many years, I was eager to look at the improvements. According to Verizon I had my last phone for 3 years (although I didn't use it for 1 year - I was overseas). The ringer stopped working, security code stopped working, buttons were starting to stick, search would reset to main screen ocassionally, battery was taped on, etc. Needless to say I wasn't very impressed by the longevity of the brand. But hey it's 2004, so they must have gotten better...NOT

I wasn't impressed by the the LG VX-7000. The first thing I noticed was that the call quality was the worst out of any of the phones I was looking at (Motorola V710 & Samsung A670). It was the only phone that consistently had an echo. Even the verizon representative took note of the poor sound quality.

I do like the menus on LG phones, they tend to be very intuitive. Also, the phone was basically large, which seemed surprising because if I wanted a big phone I'd go for the Moto V710 that had bluetooth, speaker, and trimode.

So, the V7000 just didn't make sense. I ended up with the Samsung, which had far superior sound quality. I wanted to love the Moto, but the ear piece is really messed up and would drive me crazy not being able to hear my calls. What was Motorolla thinking???

Bottom line is that you buy a phone to talk not play and sound quaility is the number one criteria for me.

Huge, still all digital= not so great! Wait for the V710!

We've had this phone in the store for about a week and a half, and I've had a chance to play around with it. Here's what I've found:

BAD:
-Still all digital... didn't people grip enough about this and the vx6000?

-Camera still is same resolution (640x480) as the vx6000... again didn't people grip enough about how the pix suck?

-No speakerphone... again (see where I'm going with this) people griped that the vx6000 didn't have it.

-It's huge, now we all thought the vx6000 was big, oh just wait till you see this one.

-Volume not as loud on ringers, not is it for the ear-piece.

-Stubby antenna again... bring back the extendable ones that pull in signal anywhere.

GOOD:
-Mobile Web 2.0... pretty cool and easier to navigate through. Those with vx4500's have this too though, and so will other phones coming out soon.

-Larger, clearer screen then other phones out there right now.

-Yeah that's it, otherwise it's just a
larger vx6000.

-Flash, but then it only works with the cam, not for a video light= that sucks.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
-Wait for the V710, it will be so much better. This is a waste of your time and money, it's the same as the vx6000, only benefit being a flash and Mobile Web 2.0.

NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE!!

This phone is not what real people are looking for.

PIC: the pic res. is blocky, the best pic res is on the A-610/A670 right now.

SOUND: the sound on this phone is more distorted than the VX4400 or the VX6000. it will only hold 20 ring tones, 99 voice dials, and that speaker will hold if you don't use that much.

OVERALL:LG needs to rethink what they are doing. this phone is not as good as it is hyped up to be.

Disappointing

Jul 5, 2004 by flip69

My 4400 allows the keyboard light to stay on when the flip is open. When the 6000 came out I bought it then returned it because the keylight would go out after a few seconds and there was no way to keep it on now LG continues this stupid practice with no keylight control. Overall this phone is not that much better than the 6000. I really want a speakerphone but the 4500 has such a crummy display when compared to the 6000. I hope the 8000 is better.

Great Phone but..........

Ok, I agree with most of the people here in saying that its a great phone. Im not gonna list any pros since we all like pretty much the same things about the phone.

I am however going to list of few things, that I think could be better.

1. I noticed that on Get it Now service, with the VX7000 you are limited to only certain services. On my VX6000 I had access to all services and providers.

2. I would love a way to be able to put animated images on the phone like the VX6000.(Now maybe its possible and I just dont know how, in which case please let me know)

Otherwise, a well rounded phone. I would definatly recommend it.

this phone has no great , lets see first off its all digital, ( reception) second, its screens are very large, and bulky, that drains battery life fast, and lastly its not blue go for the 710
