Warning do not buy this product

Oct 24, 2012 by darshan1984ca

I guess it would be nice to consider the pros:

the enormous screen, file sharing, decent camera, and thin design, task manager. There is no use complimenting the processor since any prominent manufacturer of similar devices strives for screen resolution and processing speed.

The truth of the matter is that this phone is a True Disaster...

Cons:
battery good for 3 hrs of talk
very dim lighting, significantly dimmer than old 4s
TOO large, requires two hands at all times to use
LED lights continuous nuisance
Phone has turned off by itself more than once
continuously drops call
speaker is weaker than an old Sony Walkman phone
Touch qwerty is garbage really takes away it.
Touch screen is far less responsive than expected
Wifi insists on continuously being on even after turnoff
takes more than 4hrs for a full charge
Voice command is a joke bout as bad as Siri
Pandora no longer is functional (prob carrier related)
I am not notified of any voicemails

Sorry to say it but because I paid over 300 bucks for the thing I think I am allowed to say it is poorly constructed. It feels like it has the fit and finish of a 9.99 chinese made Walmart toaster.

Almost ALL android apps fail, its a wonder why consumers put up with such inconsistent performance. Every day an error report is needed to be sent. Often all android apps are now cluttered with ads and hidden malware spam that secretly infect your device. The only thing the phone really does all day is 1 million automatic updates.

Spare yourself the agony and buy a smartphone that was made by a real computer manufacturer...

Samsung galaxy 3

Jul 6, 2012 by Earthlings

So I picked up this phone on the launch date of June 28th through sprint which came to find out that Samsung was running behind because it could not keep up with demand ( yeah whatever). After playing with it , I was like what the heck, yeah it's fast, the screen was great till I got on the Internet, the screen was dull, the motion detection was HORRIBLE, and for some reason the android ice cream sandwich on this phone was not any different from the older version., but that did not bother as much as what Samsung did by hyping up this phone, it's a piece of crap, my htc Evo was much much better than this. I would not recommend this phone at all. ( u were warned!!!!!!!)

Great phone but the screen is too dim for me

I went to check this phone out at sprint although I would be getting the verizon version if I decided to purchase but I was very disappointed in the screen brightness at full 100% brightness it was like my motorola razr maxx at 50% as I compared them side by side. This is weird as the galaxy nexus was much brighter as well. The screen was too dim for me.

LOVE this phone!

Carrier: Sprint

I just got the Galaxy S 3 and I went from being a die hard iPhone user! I swore I'd never use an Android based phone. But I got to the point to where texting was difficult and used my husbands phone with Swype on it and LOVED IT!!! I found it so much easier to use (due to Carpel Tunnel) I cant really think of any complaints. It seems like you can customize basically any setting in this phone!!!

Things I LOVE!!!:
Swype (of course)
Changing the fonts
Much easier to download myxer tones
Love the set up of the phone
Love having the main button plus the back and menu button!
Being able to customize my texting background
Speech to text

Ok so I have barely had the phone activated for 6 hours and I am constantly finding out awesome new things!!!!

I hope others find this phone as awesome as I do!!!

BEST PHONE I'VE EVER PURCHASED

Mar 16, 2013 by KingPhoneReviewer

I phone it amazingly fast, stable, and intuitive. Samsung did it right with this phone. Sound is incredible and does not distort when volume is at max. The clarity of the screen is amazing when I'm watch HD on Netflix or Youtube and the battery life is ASTOUNDING! I expected the battery to discharge faster than my other android phone because the screen was much larger but it actually goes way more because of the integrated power saver and data switch options.

10/10 for me.

PS: JELLY BEAN IS AMAZING ON THIS PHONE!

Had iPhone before and I am never going back!

Okay phone.

Pros:
Great screen, able to dim just dark enough which is nice.
VERY fast doing anything!
Doesn't come w/ much bloatware.
Lots of neat features that you don't see on other models such as the new motion options, those keep me interested in the phone.
LED notification light.

Cons:
Battery life isn't any better than the original Galaxy S but it has a much larger battery in it? The screen isn't THAT much bigger.
Samsung's version of swype is not nearly as accurate as real swype.
Service is poor. Places that I was able to make calls before are nothing but a dream now. This is the biggest issue.
The speaker volume does not get loud enough leaving me saying "what?"

the best by far

i traded from an iPhone 4s which was boring , i am so happy, great phone, screen, speed, apps, so much you can do, would recommend it to anyone,

Nice screen etc, but missing some things

This phone is great looking and works well. Screen, camera software all very good.

However, the Sprint version has no SIM slot so you can't get a card when traveling outside of the US like the other carriers who have the SIM Card slot. The Verizon phone is LTE and CDMA and they have a SIM slot and will offer GSM overseas use.

Also it would be nice if they put a micro HDMI port on these, so you don't need a proprietary adapter to connect it to a hidef TV?

On a personal prefference note. This phone is really quite thin, which people must value highly, because I would much rather have a phone that is 1/3rd thicker with twice the battery capacity. Only motorola seems to build a phone for people who value battery life, this need being met with the razor max. .
