I love it.

Excellent spearkerphone

For the cons i only have three:

not able to ring and vibrate at the same time

But like i said its an excellent phone. Its my 5th phone and so far the best. Motorola did an excellent job on this phone, so don't hate.

So Far, So Good!!

So Far So Good!
I have had my V300 for 5 weeks and I have had no trouble at all. I can`t compare it with other phones because it is the first cell I have owned. It does what I need it to do very well. I call people, they call me. I put names and numbers in the phone book. I use the camera a little.[I use my digital Nikon more] I use the speaker option and it works great. I have downloaded RingTones and had no problems. I have no trouble at all with the options of the phone. The battery seems to stay charged longer the more times I charge it. The only problem, if you can call it that, is the buttons on the side of the phone that I sometimes hit by mistake. I may have trouble down the road but for now, "So Far So Good"

BEST free phone T mobile has!!

Feb 22, 2005 by Ascension007

This phone is great. The sound quality, the screen res, and the features are all nice. I just switched to T Mobile and the V300 is an excellent choice.

Pro's:
RF signal is good (although I had some dead areas-due to the carrier though)

Speakerphone

Ringtones are clear and loud (no distortion w/ volume cranked up)

Battery is good

Software add on's from motorola- hotmail viewer, web viewer-works great on T-zones

Con's:

No changeable face (blue is cool but gets old)

No flash (my old samsung had a flash, made pics look better even in day time)

Sometimes the phone gets slow-but if your used to motorola you should expect some bugs in their phones

No T9 input (the Itap is ok, but not as good as t9 though)

But overall, this is a solid performing phone at the regular price and is an insane deal to pass with it being free.

Yes, The FM Radio works

Feb 19, 2005 by cellphoneguru

At this point, I have had this phone for 3 days and it has been great. I'm with T-mobile and also have the Nokia 3650, which is also a good phone but the ringers on the v300 are 10 times better along with the speaker phone and the size of the phone is much more compact. The other thing that I have not seen mentioned is the FM radio works on this phone. I also have a v66 that I bought the radio headset for that I plugged into this phone and IT WORKED. And sounds great for a phone. Hope this could be of help!

Solid phone, but what is up with the charger!

Feb 6, 2005 by Skatty

Best phone I have ever had. Before I start with my pet peeve about this phone I have to repeat alot of what people have already said about this phone:

Pro's:
- Nice bright colour screen
- Custom options are endless
- Reception is awesome (compared to other Moto's from previous encounters)
- Menus are easy to use (and are customizable)
- Camera is a great feature (Let's face it, it's a phone not a camera)

Con's:
- CHARGER (Number 1 draw back in my books)

Now let's talk about the charger. Now come on Motorola, what is up with that! The charger connection has a great idea, small, nice, however, will it ever work! The charger is frusterating. You could connect it, and if in a rush, never have the phoen charged. It's almost as if the pins to transfer power are just to short! You have to play with connection for in some cases 20 mins just to get the thing to charge. If we had a charger like the C333 it would be great. I wouldn't change anything but the charger connection or how it does it!

Again everything about this device is worth the money, however the charger needs alot of work. I work with Cell phones all day, and wow, awesome phone in my eyes but that charger just gets under my skin.

Definate buy, I would recommend the device.

Very Good Phone with Only a Few Minor Problems

Dec 27, 2004 by rtcpenguin

I activated my V300 through TMobile about a month ago and it has been nothing short of amazing. Here is a list of my main Pros and Cons

Pros:
-Voice Dialing is great
-Speakerphone and mp3 (ringtones) sound very good
-SIM Card plus Phone memory is nice
-Camera quality pretty good
-Menus easily navigable with about a 10 minute learning curve
-Excellent Screen clarity/brightness
-Battery life superb...I charge it about once a week
-Reception better than all of my friend's phones
-External display looks really cool
-High quality java games can be easily loaded with optional USB cable

Cons:
-Weird button shapes
-The layout of the arrow keys (on the top of the keypad) is a bit silly. I have larger than average hands and its difficult to hit the tiny middle button sometimes
-Sometimes menus can be a little laggy.
-Ringtones could be louder by default (there are hacks to increase volue though)

A friend of mine had an older version of this phone (about 2/2004) and the phone lagged when it opened. This problem is not evident with my phone.

A note on the external display: I prefer the reverse LED because it looks cool and is easier to read than color displays. I dont see the point of an external color display since it isnt the correct aspect ratio for displaying photos, and it isn't used for much besides seeing who's calling or checking the time.

what the heck is this phone made out of?

Dec 27, 2004 by B8all103

this phone has a great selection of great songs to download to ur phone for ringers and has a great camera but, the thing is that in a while it starts not working that good because it get all dusty and you cant clean it because the camera is to small. that is almost the only thing bad about this phone.

Only Phone I've Loved Since I Bought It

Dec 25, 2004 by morgrar

I've used many phones and I've constantly been switching mid contract because well, I'm very fickle and get tired of cell phones (and most things in general) very quickly.

All of that really came to an end with the v300. I'm a big fan of T-Mobile first off (and yes, I'm aware of their spotty coverage and I work around it to the best of my ability) and to get this phone at such a great price last December when I bought it has been worth every penny.

I've been using this phone since Dec. 2003 and I have not had one complaint. The design is great, and the features go on and on. The speakerphone wasn't too loud, but after some tweaking, that too has come to the volume level that I like (close to Nextel volumes). It plays MP3s, has a camera, and has all the options I could think of at every level of the interface.

The phone gets by far the best reception out of any T-Mobile phone I've ever used, except maybe the Nokia 6610. That received great service as well. I guess the only thing lacking would be Bluetooth or an Infrared port, but it's older brothers (v500, v600, etc.) have those and that's where the extra $ goes.

I've been using this for exactly one year, and it's still going strong. Solid design, doesn't feel like a toy, and I can only praise it. No complaints. It's still selling strong in the market and if you're looking for a very reliable and good flip phone with tons of features and a decent camera, this is the way to go.

5 out of 5.
