slick

overall a solid phone. It was a tough call to either wait for the Skyrocket (4G LTE) version of the basically the same phone, or to bite. I decided at&t don't have the footprint for 4G so I'm not paying extra for the phone. would buy it again.

PRO:
- Data speeds averaging 3mb down / 1mb up
- very snappy menu response
- bright, brilliant screen
- sharp pictures, great flash
- NFC capability, tho no practical use
- huge internal 16gb space
- big, big, big.

CONS:
- taking pictures in low light will take time, but sunny you can take very fast pics repeatedly
- internal drive divided into 2 partitions, but no idea how to put stuff on the "usb" partition
- did not come with an included microSD card
- holding it in left hand has same issue as iphone4 with reception. Lower left corner seems to be where the antenna is, and you lose 1-2 bars just by holding the phone.

Great

Okay, I'm a Samsung fan...just to be clear, but for good reason. They have a great research and development team.

Pro's:
*No lag...at all. Home screen shifting from screen to screen is completely fluid.
*Exynos dual-core CPU, with ARM Cortex-A9 technology. Samsung made their own processor for this device, which is more efficient and faster than any Cortex-A8 cpu out there.
*1 GB RAM, 16 GB's onboard memory.
*4.3 Super AMOLED Plus screen (beautiful)

Con's:
*Signal strength seems less powerful than my Captivate, but adequate for my needs.
*Not 4.5 inch screen like the Skyrocket.

Other Thought:
I went with the i777 vs the Skyrocket for multiple reasons. I would lie if price weren't a reason, however I would own a Samsung designed CPU before I owned a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU. I'm a gamer, and this is the best for what I do with my phone. Although if signal strength and compatibility are your concern, the Skyrocket may be a better option.

AMAZING!!!

Let me start out by saying that this is the BEST phone I have ever owned!! I've had numerous iPhone 4's, Infuse, Atrix, and plenty of others! This phone beats them hands down!

Pros:
Vivid Superamoled+ absolutely brilliant!
Battery life is great!
Very quick response with no lag!
1GB ram!!!
Dual core 1.2GHZ processor!!!
Camera is amazing!
4G (21mbs)!
Plenty of memory!

Cons:
Haven't found any yet!

Highly recommend getting this android device!

I'll do the pros and cons thing first then elaborate a bit more.

Pros: Super Fast
Great Dislplay
Thin & Light
Camera/video

Cons: No blinky light or sound notification of missed calls or messgages.
When you click on the green phone icon it always defaults to the dialer not the call log and/or last screen used.
Texts messages show up in call log.
No select all option when you want to empty your trash bin within email. ( have to delete one at a time)
Album and Artist info in Pandora is basic and boring.

I went from a Motorola Atrix to the Galaxy. I know my cons could be trivial or anal to some people, but when you come from a phone that has certain features you get used to having them and when you go to a phone that doesn't have them it almost seems like I'm down grading. I don't feel I should have to unlock my phone to see if I missed a call or message or download an app to give me the feature. I mean regular flip phones had this feature before smart phones were even thought of. I should be able to select all my messages in my trash bin to delete them all at once. I shouldn't have to make 4 clicks to end up calling someone from my call log. On my Atrix, the Album and artist info is elegant and elaborate, prettier if you will.
So, since the cons are big ones (to me anyway) I only gave it 3.5 stars. and I am still debating on returning it. I said I would never go back to an Iphone, but can't lie and say I'm not curious to how good the new Iphone will be.
Sorry if my review comes across harsh, it is a great phone and does what it is supposed to do and does it well. If you come from a phone that didn't have the features I spoke of, then you won't miss anything and be totally happy.

texting vibrate doesn't work!
