Finally

Jan 18, 2011 by Tripndrag

Great phone, I can finally get through a day no problem on battery, no 4G in my area yet so battery life based on 3G with 4G off. Feels great, nice screen, great HTC widgets, apps and shortcuts. Really nice phone for the price. I wasn't to excited when I saw the price of this phone but WOW! This is a solid phone with good battery life. I think they finally got it all together with this phone and really made a nice package. I made the Samsung Moment work for my last phone and I was glad to see it go! This phone is what I have been wanting and I think when people realize how great it is they will really sell a lot of them.

Pros:
Battery life is really good, very similar to the Verizon Droid 2. Full keyboard, predictive text and spell check on all keybords you can turn off and on, number lock light along with a cap lock light. Great HTC widgets, apps and shortcuts, Android 2.2, flashlight feature, fm radio, voicemail over bluetooth, headphone jack. Built in battery meter under settings about phone works perfect. Great camera, great video.

Cons:
No file explorer but AndExplore easily downloaded from the app store works fine. Volume buttons were always getting hit but you must get used to them because I don't really hit them any longer. Power button takes some getting used to also, it is not at the edge of the phone like most and it is at and angle, very nice design it is just everything else I work with has the power button on the top right edge of the phone. When in a pocket or holster I just can't here it ring or notify but I haven't found any Android to be different. A forward facing clip case should fix that problem by not covering the speaker output.

Wonderful phone

When I heard the specs on this phone when it got released I was disappointed that it had only an 800 MHz processer. Then I got the phone and it performs better than my evo. The screen has not lagged on me at all, all the apps work great and the little bit smaller size is nice.

Pros: little bit smaller size, performance of the phone is well above par, physical keyboard and 4g.

Cons: sliding the keyboard out is kind of weird (takes a little bit force) smaller screen and no front facing camera.

Over all very happy with this phone. I highly recommend it. good job HTC.

Not Bad at all!

Bought this for my wife. I have had the EVO since launch. After the wife let me play with it, was jealous!

Pros:
Phone scored higher than EVO on the quadrant test even though has 800 MHz vs 1000 MHz.
1539 on Shift, 1259 on EVO
HTC Sense
Android 2.2
Solid Material
Keyboard does not snap into place, but don't see as issue.
Battery is fine as long as you turn off 3G/4G/wifi/BT/GPS when you are not using it and turn down brightness

Cons:
Nothing yet, do not know what the other reviewer was talking about and giving a 3.
