Blinking dots have a function on LG6000

Aug 18, 2003 by Moses P

For those of you wondering what the blinking dots are for here's the low down. You can choose the pattern in which the dots move across the screen when you have incoming calls, missed calls , new SMS alert , reminders and Standby. Then you have the option to choose five patterns for each type of call or alert that you receive.
Go to menu
next:setting or press 9
next:display or press 2
next:backlight or press 2
next:front LCD or press 2
next:patterns or press 2

And we all thought they were there just for looks. Enjoy your great verizon phone.

Nice phone/missing some functionality

Feb 21, 2004 by cyberjamin

Over all this is a kewl phone, once I got the headset jack to work properly. (Verizon had to give me a replacement since people could only hear every other word I said. Tried several headsets, it was definitley the phone. Verizon verified and gave me a new one at no charge.)

Pros -
1. It has nice graphics
2. It's easy to use without having to read the manual in detail.
3. It has a camera...only used in a pinch since the quality isn't real good. But it works when you need to take a pic of something for future reference and don't have digital with you.
4. The Tip Calculator is very handy and has wow'd some of my friends when out dining.

Cons -
1. Ringtone - I just want it to ring, not sing a song. The default ringer is very high pitched and annoying.
2. No way to auto-answer with headset on. My Moto v60 had this option and it was great when driving. With the LG, I need to open or push a button on the phone to answer it. This is not very safe.
3. The side button that changes the ring mode is too easy to hit. I have put the phone in manner mode by mistake many times, hence...missing calls.
4. NO BLUETOOTH - when will Verizon get it?
5. NO SMARTPHONE - still have to carry phone and PDA.

I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 8 yrs now. Their customer service is getting much better than it used to be. They just need to come out with more "early adopter" phones.

Great color screen, good clarity

I'm in wireless sales in the Houston area. As far as the color screen on this phone; its very comparable to the best out there. I noticed another review that said he had an issue with high-pitched noise during calls; this I have not encountered. I find the voice clarity to be exceptional so far. The camera is not bad, and its very easy to email the photos. The layout of the menu's is great, making it an easy phone to use even for the technically challenged. Overall so far, I have few complaints.

Great phone for the money

I just got this phone today after finally retiring my Kyocera 7135 and it's so much more convenient. Not too bulky and the flip is nice. Finish of the phone is great too. Colors are bright. I still need to test the phone out some more before I can actually give more input on the workmanship of the phone.

VX6000

I myself own this phone and I have to say, this phone is one of the best I have ever seen. To me there is not that many cons about this phone. It is light, well designed, awesome sound quality and graphics. Just to answer some simple questions about the phone. The silver circle beside the camera is the speaker (not a speaker-phone) but a speaker for the ringers. The dancing lights are just for looks (which in my opinion makes the phone look even more appealing to the eye). I knew when I saw this phone that I had to have it. It also has big phone book capabilities, cool theme colors, and just a very user friendly phone.

I have been selling phones for 4 years in an multi-carrier environment. I have seen many phones come and go. This is the coolest phone I have seen yet. It uses an answering machine feature where you can screen your calls, the voice dial actually works, and has videostreaming capabilities. Holy cow!!!! I look forward to a speakerphone model, a flash, and zoom function.

top 10 out there!!!

After waiting 3 months and dozens of setbacks later... verizon has finally released it's picture messaging service with the LG VX-6000 phone. It's sleek, sexy, powerful, and could probably even do your laundry... haha. maybe not so much.

but... it has a fantastic camera and has phenominal picture quality. if you are in doubt, go to the store, play around with it, and be prepared to be blown away.

it's well worth the money and will not disappoint you.

AWESOME PHONE

I had recently got the VX6000, all I have to say is WOW! The phone was simply amazing. Having owned other phones such as an i95cl and others, this phone buried them neck high. Good job LG/Verizon!!!

Great Phone but needs something else

The phone is great. My customers love the camera but there is something missing a flash. If a flash was built into the phone it would complete it. The functions are the same as a LGVX4400 and the ringer sounds good.
