Nokia 2320

Sep 6, 2010 by patwackp

After having issues with the data connection (mobile web) on another brand of phone (3 or 4 exchanges including SIM card) and getting nowhere with AT&T's customer service... Went to an AT&T corporate store near San Jose, Ca. that I always deal with because of being next to where I work and explained the issue with a store manager.
He recommended trying the Nokia 2320 instead to see if indeed the problem was my phone, not the service.
I put my SIM card in the Nokia and it works perfectly.
So, after doing an "equal" exchange (phone was same price, $29.99) I finally have a phone that does what I wanted it to... Talk,Text and Mobile web.
I have a friend with the same phone and compared it to his and noticed right away that it has newer software that adds a few menu feature's that his doesn't have.
For example,

1) AT&T's "Mobile Care" option for automated account info.

2)"App Center" updated for downloads.

3) A little louder volume level.

So far I've not experienced any other issue with phone.
It also seems to be sturdier than other Nokia's I've used in the past. (No DUST under screen!)
I also like the fact that I can use my standard wired headset with this phone. (Unlike Samsung) which I love.

It doesn't have a camera or 3G data. But does have EDGE data which is fine for me.

So far, there are no con's with the phone.

We'll see.

Good luck,
Patrick

I'll Never Buy Another Nokia

Dec 24, 2009 by ctina8787

I bought this phone on a whim i was a former Alltel/Verizon costumer who decided to make the switch to AT&T. This phone was just plain awful. It wouldn't delete texts...I had it set to delete when it was full and automatically overwrite it didn't do this. When I finally got a new phone (after much fighting with AT&T) I had nearly 10,000 stored texts. The phone would turn itself off and on randomly. If you tried to delete texts the phone would lock up and be inoperable for several hours (or days). In some cases the only way to make a call was to take off the back cover and remove battery put it back in and as soon as you ended the call it would shut the phone off. Truly, a get what you pay for item. After this experience I'll never purchase another Nokia unless it's from the N series. The only positive thing I can say about this phone is if set up right it can function as an MP3 player and has awesome sound quality. Oh and NO camera was not a good thing. No sidekeys either.

Back to basics - a good phone

Another easy to use, reliable Nokia phone. I have been using Nokia for years and like to try out new models. This phone is very basic. It retails for just $29.99. Below are cons and pros.

Pros:
-Excellent reception, signal (best of all my 4 Nokias).
-Excellent voice quality.
-Loud ringers.
-Bright display.
-T9 texting.
-Larger keys than the 2600 classic.
-Solid build, it doesn't creak at all.
-Battery life (20+ days on standby!)

Cons:
-OS is a bit slow at first, but fine once you get to menus and contacts.
-No camera.

Overall excellent choice for calls and texting!
