I had TWO bad blackberry curve 8330's!!

Mar 16, 2009 by btmoore99

I have to say that I did LOVE the curve overall as far as it features and abilities as a planner, phone, email and everything in one, but when you get two that are bad, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth! Mine seem to have had software problems. Verizon talked them up so much, even when I was having problems with my second one! I guess I just had bad luck with them! I would have text messages freeze on my main screen and I couldn't delete them unless I took the battery out. Not real convenient...and after about a month with my second one, it started to do the same thing! Am I really the only person that's had this problem!?!?!

I won't go back!

I have used a number of phones ranging from your typical mobile phone to your business persons pda phone.

This is by far, the best phone that I've used. I don't know if ill ever be able to go back to palms or windows mobiles. This is because this phone is superior in any aspect that the competition offers (minus touch screen which is a different hardware situation).

The learning curve for this phone is non existant, at least for me it was.

I also have Sprint service in Los Angeles with ev-do.

Pros:
Keyboard (this is an over looked aspect of many phones. This phone has a fantastic keyboard that also gives a satisfactory response to the presser)
Trackball (I picked up my old treo and immediately started to feel awkward. I don't know how I've ever lived without one)
Camera (with 2 mega pix this does the job of a phone camera extremely well. I can snap stuff on a bulletin on my way home and zoom in on stuff even after I've taken the pic)

Cons:
You won't be able to stop playing the infamous BrickBreaker game ... Beware.
You will look very stupid rubbing the center ok button on other phones.

With sprints cheap data plans along with its entertainment packages, this phone is a smart buy. 100% recommended!

My first smartphone_Love It!!!

Just got the phone 3 days ago and so far I love it. It handles nice, it’s light than all phones I’ve ever owned (4 phones in 3 years).
Before the BB curve I had the LG voyager and the LG Envy with a big QWERTY keyboard, it took me a day to get used to the keyboard on the BB. The features are great; it’s quite easy to navigate with the trackball. Over all it’s an awesome phone.

First Blackberry ever...hooked for life!!!

Simply amazing!!!!! I understand why they call this thing "crackberry" because I am honestly finding myself messing around with it whenever I get a free moment.

pros:
-the look is quite sleek
-all the tools are amazing and useful
-browser is QUICK
-camera takes great pictures and the flash is great too
-best phone i've ever used for texting
-extremely customizable
-calls come in crystal clear, and havent dropped one yet
-applications are crazily useful

cons:
-first time users (like myself) may have a tough time getting the hang of it but after playing with it for a while things become a lot more simple.
-battery life isnt the greatest but it makes up for that in billions of other ways.

Overall, I love this phone, and I will definitely be a blackberry user for a looooong time if they keep this kind of quality up.

by the way, something i didnt mention, I'm a college student and it helps me stay organized with the great scheduler that it has...just a little random fact i threw in. I LOVE IT!!!

Best Blackberry....

I just had to slide this in for those who don't know. The Curve and the Pearl can send and receive Picture and video messaging. If yours doesn't work, come see me...I work at Alltel. It's just an upgrade from the 4.3 to the 4.5 version of the software.

Thanks

sound quality

I do not have this model , but I do own a Pearl and love blackberrys.I know 4 people who have this phone including my best friend and my sister. The sound I hear on my end is horrible. It is muffled and picks up all the backround noise. I love the e-mail and my Pearl is great but there is something wrong with this verizon model.

not worth package

Let me try to be fair I sent phone back after 3 days and I can only say the INTERNET on it was awful, charge an extra 30 dollars it should have been much better.Had it not been for that I would have rated better but when you have to take package it should be worth it.Phone and other features were as good as most. Iphone offers much more for same cost or less.
