KatanaLX

Aug 16, 2009 by Kaitlin128

Ive had my katanalx for almost a year. I'm a teenager, so yes i admit to dropping it more than once. And, being young, i text alot. But Ive only had this phone for a year, and for the past two weeks or so its been acting up. They'll be times when none of my buttons are working. Its incredibly frustrating. When i receive picture messages with sound included in them, i cant listen to the sound. And i cant record anything. The only way to record stuff is by using a voice memo, and you cant set it as a ringtone. Even the buttons on the side of the phone have stopped working. You know, the ones that turn it up and down and take pictures. I'd recommend this phone for anyone who doesnt text very often and only makes calls.

Pretty Cool i Love It

Its pretty cool i just got it a couple of days ago and i realy like it. My mom got the m520 and dosnet like it as much as she dose the katana lx. True it cant be used as a video cam but its still cool. Its also got this screen on the outside thats invisible until u close it. (U will see what i mean.)

PROS:
Very Sleek
Cool Cam Functions
LOTS of ringers and sounds
Can take pictures
Internets OK (Speed Wise)
Big #'ers
Large Screen
Outer Screen

CONS:
Like i said no video cam function
Sometimes internet stays on without u realizing it

Sexy, but simple

When I first looked at this phone, I was blown away by appearance. From the outside, it is a sick design. It looks awesome. The external display is clear and looks beautiful.

Once I got into the phone though, I was disappointed, it didn't do much. It does have all the features that you would expect from phones anymore, but nothing special. Decent camera, bluetooth, standard apps. Mediocre main display.

Pros
VERY SLEEK DESIGN
External display looks excellent
Battery life is okay
Bluetooth

Cons
Doesn't do enough
-No support for real music
-No video recording
-Internal screen has poor resolution

This phone would be an excellent choice for people who need a phone with basic features: calling and messaging. Bluetooth and good battery life makes it ideal if all it will be used for is talking on. Don't expect it do much past that. If you get this phone, watch for the sales for when it is free, this isn't worth $50.

Bad idea

I honestly think this phone was a poor idea to replace the katana 2. this phone may look better but doesnt even have the durability as the katana 2. The store I work in is even replacing the katana dlx for this one. Yeah that is just plain stupid the katana dlx is way better more features look it up

Cons: well non that I can think of

Not Bad

Pros: Nice look and feel. Good interface. Good reception, and voice quality.

Cons:
1)Wont run Opera Mini 4 or Google Maps mobile. Does run Opera Mini 3, however.
2)Display resolution is not nearly as good as other Katana phones
