I really like it

Sep 23, 2008 by legacy10

Pro's

Great camera- For a 1.3 megapixel camera it really takes great pictures. Colors are good, detail is good, it does well in low light settings and it handles movement well.

Call quality- The calls are very clear often times people cannot tell I am on a cell.

Reception- Very few dropped calls.

Battery life- With several hours of talk time, tons of text messages, and some light web browsing the battery still shows plenty of charge.

Con's

Easily scratched- The shiny black exterior shows all kinds of fingerprints and scratches very easily.

Kind of big

Playlists only hold 50 songs. Even though the phone will hold more and you can have several play lists the 50 limit can be bothersome.

No video capture of playback.

Only takes up to 2gig cards

Metro's limit on the size of pictures that can be messaged- The phone on its highest setting takes larger pictures then can be sent. They must be either bluetooth transferred or sent through the included data cable.

Its Good Not Great

I bought the phone base sole on the fact it had a mp3 player which was cool and i still personally like about it but the thing i dont like is that when i text for a long period of time (1 Hour) the phone would reset itself which is a pain the call service(Metro PCS) is great little to no dropped calls and texts always go threw the battery life is decent i only get a day out of it with about 2 to 3 hours talk and more hours texting and little internet use overall 3.5

its alright...

I bought this phone all excited, but got disappointed a few times. I liked the phone cause of the colors, and the mp3 player. I also found out through voice memo you can record something and choose that as your ringer. so i playing my fav songs through the radio or computer, recording them through my phone, then BAM i got a cool ringer. the camera is ok.
but what really got me upset is that if your on the web more than 5 minutes or texting alot then it will power cycle. also, 1 out of 5 times when I am making a call the earpiece goes out so I dont realize that the other person already answered and it like "hello?" while i am there like an idiot waiting for the phone to ring. i also dont like that texting style on here and how there is no predictive text or were you can add words.
even though i really like how I can make my own ringers, i am buying a phone to replace this one cause i text alot and this phone upsets me while i text.

Stylish & Functional

Pro's:
Easy to use interface.
Excellent call clarity! Sacramento Metro area/Metro PCS.
Internet speed is pretty good. Don't have to wait very long to connect to the web.
Battery Life has been pretty darn good. Lasts about 3 days with moderate use. (calls, texting, and light internet use)
Internal display is a nice size.
External screen w/Caller ID.
Music Player: Dedicated controls on the outside are a nice touch. (dont have to open the phone to ffwd/rwnd thru songs.
Ringer volume is nice and loud.
Speaker sound is awesome.
Ringtones, my phone has 16 preloaded tones. They're not too bad compared to other phones.
Backlit Keypad
Micro SD slot: Supports up to 2gigs of ram.

Cons:
Camera: Snapshot quality is average for a 1.3 MP.
Phone gets smudges and fingerprints alot.

A functional easy to use phone. Not much about this phone that I don't like. The one real peeve I have is that you cannot download free ringtones to the phone. (Metro PCS has that ability blocked.)

For the price, $169.99 on the Metro PCS online store. It's a good deal for all of its features and its functionality.
