Samsung r200

Oct 18, 2007 by shoelace_510

Hi. I was in the market to buy a fairly cheap, but reliable phone in the middle of my contract (so I had to pay retail prices of course) so I bought the r200. After using it for 2 days now the battery that it had out of the box still hasn't died which is quite surprising to me.

The handset overall is nice and thin, and not too wide or tall. All of the buttons seem to have a nice feel and tactile feedback as well. The features are pretty basic (no camera, bluetooth, memory card slot, etc.) but Samsung seems to have put just as much effort into the build quality in the r200 as they did in their U520. It seems like a solid phone.

Also, I've found that there is plenty of onboard memory in this phone. I have put in over 100 contacts and I am still only using 535 kb of the available 2536 kb (2.5 MB).

Lastly, I think that the reception is great so far, I have had no problems getting signal in places my old phone had none. The call quality is also right on par here as well. I can hear those that I'm talking with clearly and they can hear me no problem. I don't think that this phone has any of the problems with echoing that some have experienced recently with the Wafer...

That's it for now. If you have any questions please just e-mail me!
