NOT HAPPY

Dec 21, 2007 by cdp1

Pros:
*Phone was great for texting. Fits in hand well, simple texting navigation.
*Stores many names and numbers
*Easy to make calls
*web access
*Great Camera Phone

CONS:
*I have a family plan where I purchased 4 of these phones. In the long run I had to send 3 of these phones back. 3 Of my Original phones, and one replacement phone.
*I had these phones replaced because many different error messages kept me from making calls. Such as, EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY, NETWORK UNAVAILABLE, BARRER (sp?) UNAVAILABLE.

* My cellular company said it was a phone defect, not a Sim card or carrier problem.

I have a sony ericson phone now, and have no problems with it.

Pros:

Free with rebate after I renewed with AT&T.
Slim. Light, decent to good battery life.

Cons:

The voice quality is inferior to my old Nokia 6102b. There is a robotic quality to the other party.

The little cover of the charger/headphone port is designed to fail.

The headphone jack is proprietary.

Conclusion: I will try my SIM in a coworkers Razor V3xx and see if that also has the poor sound processing that this phone does, maybe I'll trade in for that one or the Samsung Sync if either of these phone don't exhibit this.

I have had this phone for only 8 months and the battery will only hold a charge for under 2 days while making no calls. The memory frequently fills up with blank pictures because of the camera button on the side. Now, every other time i try to make a call, it tells me emergency calls only. I have to turn it off and back on and keep my fingers crossed that it will let me make the call. It never had good reception. In places where my previous phone would get 2/5 bars, this one gets no network coverage.

Good phone

Disappointed!

I didn't like this phone, even before I broke it. The phone had to be answered before the speaker phone would work. It was light weight , maybe a little too light for it's size. I have been using a cell phone since... forever. I was always careful and never had a need for insurance so I stopped getting it after about the third phone. Now I found that no insurance was a major mistake. I had only had the phone a short while when it slipped from my fingers and fell on the carpet and it was gone. I don't know if it was the phone or just a strange con incidence, but I had dropped phones a lot harder many times before and didn't break them. Regardless of the reason for the break I will buy insurance next time.
The battery did last forever though. The battery life was a major plus.

Nice phone - easy unlock, and good price

I bought this phone directly from AT&T for just $4.99 (through Dealdigs.com for a $25 cash). Oh, it's a refurbished one
