Impressive

Dec 12, 2006 by MANIAC

This is an impressive handset.

The first thing that I was worried about was if the phone would show up with same finish as the KRAZR... That fingerprint magnet was an atrocity. This phone on the other hand has the same rubberized mat finish that PEBL & high end Samsung handsets have.

I like the slide form factor. I had to retire my D600, D820, and D900 due to POOR receiver sensitivity. Samsung makes a superior high end handset in every way except reception. Here in the hills of Vermont 10% plus or minus on receiver sensitivity makes or breaks the value of a handset.

I went to a V3i while I waited for the RIZR to come down out of the pricing stratosphere... Spent $379 US on the phone... WORTH EVERY PENNY.

The quality of the material used to construct this handset is all top notch... Attention to detail makes this handset unique... right down to paisley looking engraving on the back side of the slider. The "Creek Factor" is low... Slider phones either have a tight slide that doesn't wobble at all or can wobble a lot... With the slide down this slide does move a bit... on the way up it decreases and locked in the extended position the slide does not wobble at all. Still tight by most standards. Camera is good. Screen is great. User interface is sound. MobilePhone Tools makes the whole thing come together (cable and disk came in the box). This phone uses the same screen and menus as the KRAZR but the KRAZR finish makes it unattractive with fingerprints and oils blemishing the phone continuously. RIZR is well thought out... Quality constructed... and in my opinion the real flagship of the Motorola handset line up. I have no opinion on Motorola's smart phones or PDA devices... I have tried over and over again to integrate one of those PDAs into my life and have nothing but misery each time. I like feature rich phones. The RIZR meets and exceeds my expectation of an excellent handset.

It is what it is.

this is phone is awesome, you will love it and cant stop playin with it..
i just got mine 2 days ago; the black one and it's so pretty. Here are the pros and cons

PROS
-has the same smooth feeling like in PEBL U6
-quick access to almost everything without opening the slider.
-super cool camera
-very neat design
-memory card slot
-and all the goodies motorola ever have

CONS
-speakerphone is not as good as SLVR or RAZR
-it's hard to text message with this phone cuz the keypads are not as smooth as RAZR or PEBL U6; you have to press it harder
-of course finger print magnet
-on the home screen (i dont know maybe it's just my phone) there's no clock. even if i set it in digital or analogue.

oh my motorola, why?
RIZR should be better than slvr or razr..
but overall, RIZR is one of motorola's best phone..
enjoy..

MOTO RIZR Z3 BEST PHONE I HAVE EVER HAD!

I have had my RIZR for about a week now and everything has been going very well for my phone, I replaced my Samsung T629 with this RIZR and mind you I am a huge Samsung fan but I wanted to try something nice.

Pros:
* Battery life is great!
* Camera is awesome 2.0 mega pixel
* Sound quality is outstanding
* There is a clock that displays on the home screen of the phone, when you turn your phone one it asks you to personalize the phone.
* Ringer Profiles ( even for text messages)
* Very durable design and style.
* phone came with a 128 MB SD card!! lol

Cons:
* When recording a video or taking a picture you have to actual press the store key, with my Samsung automatically stored
* I used to love the animations the other Motorola Phones have but this one does not.
* Other than that it is a great phone if you are thinking about purchasing this phone it is worth it.

Rizr z3

I have had a few phones in my time, I average about 20 a year. I can't stand phones that don't do what there supposed to. Make calls, hold calls & have call quality. So imagine my relief when I got the Rizr Z3. This phone has never let me down, ever. No dropped calls, no poor lines, anything. This phone is used in the same locations as the others, it just works better.
Some people say that the phone runs a little slow on the ARM7 processor, why they didn't use the ARM9 is beyond me, but it's really not that bad at all, especially after you install the update, this applies if you bought one on the first releases. I believe there are more updates on the way that will still improve speed.
External speaker quality is good, music play is simple to use. It's really hard to fault this phone anywhere.
The build quality on this phone is amazing, screen is very robust & the case doesn't scratch easily either. If I had to fault anything on this phone it would be that the memory card is so difficult to take out of the phone. Push down this & hold that whilst rubbing your Belle & tapping your head.
All in all, a top quality phone with very little, if anything, to complain about.

Best Motorola by FAR

Aug 12, 2007 by 70ss454_man

Great phone, lots of features. But what caught me off guard was how well its built. One of my old Motorolas, a V360, was cheap, plasticky, very flimsy, and creaked and groaned like an old house.
I got this phone as a replacement by Motorola because my old E398 caught on fire.
I was pleased and shocked to find that this phone's skin is METAL. Not cheap-o plastic. Means this phone is built to LAST. The sliding is by far the best I've encountered, my other slider, a Samsung SGH-T629, had some serious slide build problems. Very loose and rattly. The opposite of this phone.
The only gripe i have with it is the notorious slow UI from Motorola. I thought they fixed that. If I woulda had to pay for this phone, that would be the deal breaker.
I really like the little icons that light up for charging. I also like the RAZR style keys.
Good sound, but music playback could be alot louder. Clear as a bell though, including a solid sounding ear piece.
Great phone highly recommended.

I love this phone, it has everything i wanted and more....

This phone is amazing:
-Amazing camera, don't listen to people who say it isn't good, also comes with great flash
-Amazing sliding action
-Great speaker phone, i say better than the razr
-Mp3 playback is an amazing addition
-There IS a clock on the home screen
-Great reasonable price, i bought mine for around 200 bucks
-Great overall design, and great attention to detail

I don't think there is anything i don't like about this phone, it is amazing and worth everything u pay for it.

WOW! Great Phone!

Dec 26, 2006 by fdeschape

I just received the phone and I am fully amazed at this great phone.... all the features it has are perfect!

Pros:
-Lightweight
-Camara Is great!
-The MP3 playback is a good addition
-The Bluetooth "Find Me" feature is extended on this phone from the usual 60 seconds to now an amazing 3 minutes
-too many more to say for this article

Cons:
-The phone cannot display the time on the Home Screen

all in all the phone is by far the best motorola phone i have ever purchased. Ive owned many including the PEBL which screen exploded on me while i was talking on it.

I recommend this phone to all people who are looking for a fun phone that exceeds what a phone is traditionally meant to do.
