okay

Dec 28, 2007 by kirby_aggie2012

I got this phone after having a LG-VX 3300, and from that it is a HUGE upgrade.

PROS:
MP3 Player
Good Reception
Outside Music Controls
Good battery life

CONS:
Lacks the A2DP file format, this enables you to listen to music through Bluetooth headphones.
Bad Camera
Hard to navigate.

The big thing is I really needed the A2DP file to use my new headphones, but since this does not have it I'll have to return the headphones.

Looks nice but that's it!

This phone is horrible! My husband and I both have this phone and have the same problems with it. We left Sprint to go to T-Mobile & got this phone. Big mistake!

Pros:
* You can use songs on your memory card as ringtones
* It looks cool

Cons
* The signal comes & goes all the time, in random locations.
* The browser is slow
* It drops calls ALL the time
* Reception is HORRIBLE. Sounds like I'm talking to people underwater.
* No outside notification of a text or voicemail message. If you have your phone on silent, you're not going to know if someone calls or texts you unless you sit & stare at the phone all day.
* Impossible to keep it looking nice because it will attract every fingerprint within a 20 mile radius.
* The music player is deep within the phone
* If you have a specialized ringtone for someone in your contacts, it uses the same tone for a text message from that person.
* You cannot set an alarm to go off on certain days, for example: week days. You have to set an occurring alert in your calendar.
* If you have a missed call from someone in your contacts list, it will not show that, it will show the phone number instead.
* No flash on the camera
* External display is hard to see - not bright
* Cannot have a separate picture on the external display. Mine has a big "T" (for T-Mobile) when the phone is open, and it cannot be changed!

We are still within our timeframe to return these phones, but since we got them on the T-Mobile website, the only way we can return them is through the mail....and T-Mobile will NOT send you a replacement phone until they have it back. So you are without a phone all that time!

I go Krzy for the Krzr

Oct 31, 2007 by LatinoHeat101

One of the best motorola phones (not that there are many) the KRZR is one of the top sellers in my market, given at a reasonable price and with various useful features the Krzr provides customers with the ability to store music, watch and store video clips and is very slim and sleek in its physical aspect. As great a phone the Krzr is one must keep its memory clean constantly to avoid glitches and software problems with the phone. ( this is because motorola doesn't have the best software out on the market.)

Good Phone if it's not nuthered..

Before I begin this review I would to stress that I am using a K1m activated outside the U.S. and it came unlocked.

Pros.

Desing, turns heads
Loud ringtones
Good call quality
RZR Keypad
UNLOCKED BLUTOOTH! No Sprint or Verizon Blocks

Cons.

Some basics can't be customized:
Can't change fonts
Can't change the exterior LCD
Batt. Does not seem very good.

I've only has this phone for a few days and I had a Sanyo Katana previously which serve me very well. I hope this one also comes out as good as my previous Katana. Highly recommend if you can get it unlocked like I did.

Krazy for the Krzr

I love my Krzr. I work in the mobile phone industry and have seen my share of unhappy Krzr users, and I'm boggled. I've had mine for months now and despite the slight delay when bringing up menu options, I love the strong signal it picks up, my battery life is outstanding and even though the front is glass... it's been durable and lasting through some of my rougher moments (longboarding, snowboarding, tripping and general dropping). I think it's a great looking phone, I love the way it fits in my hand and the fact that the microphone is by my mouth and not my nose is a selling point for me. It's a simple phone with very fun options, great for anyone looking for something jazzy and cool looking without spending money on stupid data packages and programs.

KRZR K1m for MetroPCS

Sep 20, 2007 by w_olliff

Pros: Overall I like the phone. Style and functionality are great. Speaker-phone is loud, as well as the ring tones. Battery life is great -- I charge it overnight and it lasts all day. Camera and Video work great.

Cons: Mirror finish easily shows fingerprints. K1m for metro doesn't have A2DP, so the only way to listen to the MP3 player that I have found is over the phones speakers -- which sux, because one of the reasons I bought the phone was to listen to music over a headset -- all I needed was a plug-in!

Love this phone

Aug 30, 2007 by jskimerer

I have owned this phone for 6 months and have grown to love it, best phone I have owned. First of all I do not do Blue Tooth or text message so those features I can't comment on. I use Alltel as my carrier, reason is I can download and transfer mp3's to my phone very easily verses Verizon, very important to me. I have several micro memory cards with hundreds of songs, I love it when I go walking, bike riding or to the beach, clip it to my belt or beach chair put in my ear buds, I'm set, battery lasts all day, can operate the player without having to open the phone, all the controls are on the outside, it's great.
Pro's
Great reception most important to me.
Long battery life.
Very sturdy well built.
Speaker phone is great.
Nice design looks and feel.
2 gig memory card capable.
Cons
Hard to read the time in sunlight.
Fingerprints but a quick wipe it's fine.

EYE CATCHER BUT... :(

I was due for a Vrzn.upgrade,so I went from my LG enV(which i do love)to a Motokrzr k1m. Looks like a pretty phone and it really is. But what a huge, huge mistake!!! I literally had the phone for 2weeks and 4days before it snapped on me! One morning(2wks3days) it needed a charge, and would not take a charge properly, when it finally did,it was dead by that night. The next day(2wk4days)it would not get a signal, screen kept saying, "no service". When it did,i snuck in one ph.call to my hubby and said I'm returning this piece of u-know-what to Vrzn! After that 1 call,it would not let me do anything....not even delete my pix or files i had in the ph.be4 returning it to Vrzn. 2 of my friends have the Krzr and r having the same problems I had with mine. Something within the software is very wrong with the phone,I would stop anyone from buying this phone, becuz it may work for a day after that 30 return policy expires, or it may stop working after 2-1/2 wks(my deal). I was so happy to be back to my LG enV. I will never use a Motorola phone again. Too bad this phone didnt work out, I really did love the look to it, thats the only thing going for itself! :(

Nice but still not there...

I like the phone for the most part... I like the fact that it does video and mp3 but...

I was disappointed in a few ways:

1. The mp3 feature is not impressive... I ripped some music at a 256 bitrate (i tried lower bitrates before this) and the volume was just not loud enough. With a full charge the phone seems to do ok but as the battery drains the volume decreases. I guess to save battery life for CRAP like phone calls... :p
I could not hear any volume at all with 2 bars left on the battery.

2. The video feature is great... but it does not like movies. I downloaded some short tv shows and converted them to 3gp format with the imtoo encoder and everything was great... having 5 or 6 of them on the phone (stored on a microSD without a doubt) was fine but i ripped a dvd and converted it and the phone took forever to open it... seems that files under 25 megs do best... anything over that wont perform.

3. Verizon has issues... imagine that. They currently say they only support Windows XP and only sync with Media Player 10. I never even got that to work. I had to drag and drop media to the microSD and then put the stick back in the phone... Thank god im a tech... my sister would have never figured it out.

Over all the phone is nice... but I am sure that I will bite the bullet and go Iphone when I can.

Enjoy!

TOO FREAKIN SLOW

Jun 6, 2007 by shane911

I bought the phone for Sprint when it first came out. Recently got rid of it because the interface is too buggy and OMG is it SLOW!!!!!! If you need a solid phone for just making calls this phone will work for you. If your like me and want a good phone with all the toys go for something else. I switched to the Samsung M610 and now I like Sprint again.

Pros:
Great signal
Good looks
Voice recognition is excellent
Feels very well built
Load speaker
Calls are very clear
Good battery life

Cons:
Again... interface is really slow taking 3-4 seconds just to open your phone book and other functions.
Loves finger prints
Half duplex speaker phone
Screen a little small
Camera sucks
Had a lot of problems using a 2gig memory card
Applications lunch extremely slow. I use the navigation a lot and need it to be up and running quickly.
There are a few others that I can't think of right now but these are the main issues that really bugged me.
