Is there a way have the phone automatically lock after a certain time period?

Ok, well I figured on my own that with the phone open you can hold the x key it will turn on lock.
I wish it could be activated like the keyboard timer, after a certain period of time.

just close the phone...go into the menu... then settings and tools... then keyguard timer...

mates, open your phone and look at the 'letter x' button
that's the kind of lock silverado meant
unfortunately, there is no other way to lock your phone besides holding down the 'letter x' button

yes - the other suggestions were for the keyboard timer - which is not locking the phone, you can lock the phone on power up but thats not what i am looking for either
