It's not a razor, it's an 8200 that was run over by a truck.

In the process of being squished, somehow there was a crippled bluetooth chip that got mixed up in there. The screen got bigger, but that's expected when it gets rolled over.
I can prove it; Go to the comparison for this phone, and it is almost identical to the 8200's:

Same battery life,
Same camera,
Same weight (almost),
Same Vision,

The only difference is that the 8200 came out two years ago. Sanyo is two years behind, even themselves, let alone the competition.

sanyo needs to catch up with everybody else, and not re-make a phone they made 2 years ago.

they're not re-making it per-se... just re packaging to sell more of it.

its called marketing...

don't fix what aint broke, and if you can still sell it by changing the package, then by god, do it...

why make new coke, when the old coke was better?

am i getting my point across?

Ahh, the new Coke... I remember that.

If I wanted something that tasted more like Pepsi, I'd buy....

Pepsi... 🤣

Anyone remember Crystal Clear Pepsi? That was interesting to say the least. Think they'll come out with a Crystal Clear Katana? 🤣

Sanyo made it to be an affordable thin phone for sprint, if you take a look at whats available for sprint, the only other thin phone retails $200 and this one at radioshack goes for $79.99

you can get a samsung A900 online for $100. i dont know why anyone would get this when for $20 more, you can have a 1.3 MP camera, TV services, and better bluetooth. 😛

Becuase some people don't live in areas completely covered by Sprint. I am one of them. My Katana gets signal where my brother-in-laws A900 won't. So why would I spend $20 more for a phone with worse reception?

For a camera? I already have one.
For TV service? Don't have the time or the money.
Better bluetooth? Not sure how it is better.

Let me guess.....Sanyo must have won the JD POWER award for three years in a row because they are "behind" the times. That surely must be it. I guess some people don't know quality when they see it. This is an awesome phone at a good price.

the 8200 was/is a very popular phone...why wouldn't you want to expand on a popular platform? nokia has been doing it for years with their 60 series...

The Katana is missing PTT Ive sold 4 in 1 day and the main question was why no PTT. Answer simple they wanted to be sub $100 so they skipped out on MP3, PTT, PowerVision, MicroSD slot, etc...
