SOMEONE must know where to find software that will allow user to upload ringtones to 8400's sdcard??
I'm really frustrated that I have yet to find software or a way with the USB cable for the phone to upload mp3s to the sd memory card that I can then use as ringtones. Please someone post a link to such software that actually works. BitPim just released a new version yesterday and it STILL doesn't work with the 8400 via USB cable. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️

why not just upload them to www.t1mmy.net and download them to the phone. Unless you don't have a data package.

would you mind giving a brief explanation of how to do that using www.t1mmy.com?? that'd be great, thanks

well, i just upload the ringers to http://t1mmy.net/phone/phone.html then follow directions and browse to the URL provided in the popup and download the ringer or picture. It doesn't end up on the SD card, but that might be a phone limitation, certainly not of the uploader.

If you have a data package it works great. I've uploaded a bunch. As for the storage in the phone rather than the card, I'm sure that's so you can't just transfer them via usb cable from your computer. If you could store them on the card you could copy them to the card. Sprint doesn't want you to do that. They want you to buy them from Sprint at their absurd prices good for only limited periods of time. Oh, I've also noticed it's possible to search for and find about any ringtone (midi) file you want for free.

Thing is, the phone is neutered so it doesn't allow you to access mp3s on the microSD card to use as ringtones. Very annoying.
