Samsung SCH-A990

All I keep reading about is how people went to Verizon and got their A990's software updated from ZD18 to ZH07. So I call a bunch of Verizon stores and they never heard of it. The last one I called said there is some kind of update, but it doesn't say what version it is or anything about it. So I bring it in and they say they are going to do an update for me. When I get the phone back and check it after I leave, I see that the software version on my phone still says ZD18. Did they screw me????? Shouldn't the software version have a new number??? What gives???? Someone please explain! Thanks.
