MetroPCS Nokia 2865i phone asmodem help needed!!!

Dec 8, 2007, 2:45 AM
I bought a bluetooth adapter and the MetroPCS Nokia 2865i yesterday and I cannot get it to connect to the Internet through dial up networking. I downloaded the latest version of NokiaSuite and through the bluetooth I can transfer ringtones and graphics...but no dial up connection. Anyone used the 2865i for dial up networking and been able to surf the web through a laptop? Thank you very much,

🤣 Hi James- I registered at this site just to answer YOUR question. 🙂
I went through alot of different Q & A's with both Metro PCS and Nokia until I FINALLY got a REAL straight answer out of
NOKIA.It turns out that you and I are so lucky to have service with METRO PCS and so,
although the 2865i is capable of being used as a dial up modem,METRO has put a sort of a 'lock' on that part of the 2865i so that we are unable to use that service.
I am aware that there are ways to 'unlock' this part of the phone.Don't confuse this term 'unlock' with the common use of the same word for unlocking cel phones.
I forget what it was called but there is a HUGE website that is full of the ways to do this to most phones.
So,there it is.Now I will ...
