If it's anything other than a white background with pinkish X's, or dots on it, then it reflects exposure to water. If your pants were only slightly wet, chances of damage to the phone are minimal. To be safe, power off, remove the battery, and put the phone in the freezer for a few hours, even overnight.

Yes, I'm sure. A freezer/refrigerator actually removes moisture from objects. Lay it on a folded-over paper towel, on top of a small plate or something, and put it in the freezer.

You're nuts. Any water in the phone will freeze and the minute you take it out it will get covered in condensation (if you live in a humid area). Just leave the phone in a sunny place like a window sill. That should do it.

Mike734 - I don't know you, but I don't really appreciate being told "You're nuts." Maybe I think you are a jackass - are you okay with me saying that on here?

Before you spout off about a post someone has made on here, why don't you bother doing some homework so that you can post an intelligent rebuttal instead of something like, "just leave the phone in a sunny place..... That should do it." Maybe you think that "should do it", but do you actually know? Have you had experience with this? Do you actually have any idea of what physical effects occur within a freezer?

Now, no, I'm not any kind of refrigeration technician. I do have some technical interest in a variety of subjects, but that's all. I do happen to know that my respons...

Wow, so many months I have not checked this forum and here I find I've been flamed! LOL. To answer you, no I don't care if you call me names. This site is anonymous. Why would YOU care?

BTW you are still nuts. If you think putting a wet electronic device in the freezer will dry it out, try it. My comments about condensation are exactly correct. Try this. Take your $1000 cam corder and put it in the deep freeze. Then take it out and power it up. Good luck. Condensation will form inside and out.

Now, if you live in a dry place (Arizona) you will not have a problem. If you live with anything more than moderate humidity you will be in for a disappointment. The advice to put it on a sunny window sill was not great, I'll grant you. He shou...

I would not suggest either the freezer, or direct sunlight... Either may damage a phone you said was working perfectly...

Now... on to your original request... We have 3 LG VX8300 phones... each has a small rectangle sticker on the battery itself between the contact terminals of the battery AND a small round "dot" about 1/8 inch in diameter on the bottom wall of the battery compartment... each of these contain white backgrounds imprinted with numerous red "+" signs... None of our phones have ever been wet or in damp conditions...

Hope this helps...
